Ryan Lindgren looks like a dude who would live in Beaverbrook, so I can see him being a fit in Ottawa.

Amazing how being poor for 20 games erases the entire fact he was a solid top 4 dman playing top line minutes for the last 5/6 years.

Everyone knows he only is on the top pairing because Fox carrys the load, and he never played "top line minutes" his highest average was 20:06 per game another year 20 minutes and the rest is below 20 minutes.
Compare that to Girardi who was carried by McD but averaged above 20 minutes of icetimes 9 years in a row up to over 25 minutes per game.

I didnt say I wanted to keep him and pay him. I am explaining the fact that he has been a solid partner for Fox and he has been a consistent performer on the top line.

I have watched him in basically every game he has played for NYR and you can see his has contributed strongly to the team, he put his heart on the ice but at this stage we can see that it's time for both to move on. The difference with Girardi is that Sather didn't want to lose him when everyone saw that he needed to leave, at least here Drury knows Lindgren's future is elsewhere.


"Drive up the price" as if it's me trying to sell Lindgren to other GMs. I am literally putting some respect on his name because he earned it.

Wasn't he struggling last season? And looking at his advanced metrics, the only time he didn't have horrible stats was when he was paired with Adam Fox. Not touching that player, we already have Travis Hamonic that we can't get rid of and makes 1/4 of the money

A little bit, but Rangers fans overdo the criticism. There’s reason to be concerned, but they take a 4 to a 12 when it comes to Lindgren.

I really hope the Rangers get their crap together soon, so that these proposals become a lot less frequent.
