5 is a timeless defenseman number, Girardi could never ruin it!
Could not agree more!

Boy howdy, if he's nasty and can actually defend, I'd love to be getting Kevin Klein back.

Well he's still only 20 years old and this will be his first shot at the NHL so I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't get a ton of ice time right off. We need to temper expectations. Quinn wants the team to play harder and meaner so I see in this not necessarily a solution for the team right away so much as a message to them to be more pro-active as ass-holes to play against. If that happens it will make me happy. If we're going to lose a lot it's always better if the other team goes away at least somewhat pissed off about their victory.

Been saying all year the kid looks good and could take a shift on the bottom pairing no problem. I was getting pissed that no one was adding him in the prospect poll in favor of guys like Keane (who is also good) because Lindgren will be a player, and isn't far from being ready to make an impact.

Bullshit, he's gonna score 3 points and beat up Sebastian Aho.

Happy with this move. Been looking forward to seeing him get action in the show.

Need more snarl, bunch of soft p***yes all over the backend.

I posted this just yesterday in the AHL thread about Lindgren. If you check the quote below there's a link to an article written by the Pack's Hawk Crawford for the Rangers'website. It's a fluff piece but it has some nice analysis and some great quotes (Crawford doesn't ever do pure fluff).

Hawk Crawford wrote a piece for the Rangers' website about Lindgren, who I think is the most overlooked player in Hartford.

"I've been very impressed with the maturity that he's shown," Wolf Pack head coach Keith McCambridge said of Lindgren. "He plays a real physical style, does a good job with the details of his game, finding sticks in front of the net, boxing out for the ability for our goaltenders to see shots coming through from the point. We really like where he's at, and on top of that, what's been a pleasant surprise is the stages that he can skate pucks out, coming out of D-zone coverage, on breakouts. When there isn't an option, he has that ability to make reads, and all of a sudden give himself two or three different options, because he has his feet moving, and he's skating pucks out of trouble."

Lindgren Growing his All-around Game

Lindgren is going to be a good player.

He has improved. He can skate the puck out as well as pass it out. He's not just chipping it up the boards like he was at the start of the year. He's a good skater so he can handle it. They like his snarl and his defense. A guy you put out at the end of games protecting a lead. We really could have used a couple guys like that in the past few years.

Not to be a debbie downer but people do know that Lindgren isn’t some big player right?

He’s 6 foot 195 pounds lol

He’s like the same size of Pionk

Ya’ll acting like he’s Chara or something

Lindgren could not possibly not be better than that lump Shattenkirk. I don't care if Lindgren is 5'3" and 120 lb.
