Joe Yerdon pointed out that Sabres PR sent out an updated game roster today with Ryan Johnson's name removed.

Injury?

I say that's strange because he didn't play in the last game either.

If he was scheduled to play at the start of the day, but had to be scratched -- it's either a minor injury that they're being exceedingly careful with or an illness.

It does seem to be time that this guy should get called up and some of the debris cleared from the second or third pair. It’s time to start thinking about next season already. Free this man.
Absolutely, there is no point in continuing to play with Bryson and Gilbert.

The way this team runs its highly possible Jacob Bryson might single handedly cost RyJo several years of his career which is truly a sad thing....

I genuinely think that someone internally (Terry?) considers Bryson something of a steal since he's the only Sabres-drafted player picked after the 2nd round who's still with the team in some significant capacity now that Olofsson is gone.

I'm not high on RyJo as a regular top 6 guy but at this point I don't see how you suit up Bryson over him.

Watched him sat night in Syracuse
He’s small. Pushed off puck too easy

Weird..in his showings this year in Buffalo he has shown the fight and determination in front of the net that this team could use
I think we in general tend to overrate some

The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence. Just my opinion one game

The two Russians seem to have more promise but they need to grow into their bodies

To your point though, what would it hurt to give him a try. I would be delighted to be wrong

That loss in Syracuse was probably their worst game since the roadie to Wilkes-Barre. The whole team was not right. Granted, they had won 8 in a row before that.

I never quite understood why Johnson doesn't get as much rope as Samuelsson. His time with Power was fairly sheltered IIRC, but it's not like anything else is working.
