Even Wild fans want the book tossed at him.
I'd even say we should cut our losses and buy him out. Done with his crap.
Even Wild fans want the book tossed at him.
Diving is rarely called, it’s embellishment that they call most often. If they think there was no infraction and someone dives, they’ll call the dive only. You can have embellishment without and infraction and that’s normally what happensI never understood how someone can get a diving penalty on an actual infraction, but that's a side issue.
It’s in the title, “embellishment” - an exaggerated reaction to the foul committed against you. Which opens the door to big swings in various referee’s interpretation of what is considered an exaggerated reaction. Some are well deserved, while others seem completely ridiculous to call an embellishment. This Wild fan is fine with him being suspended for mega games.
Apparently Hartman was pissed for for getting an embellishment call earlier on a slash to the hands(that was called a penalty). I never understood how someone can get a diving penalty on an actual infraction, but that's a side issue.
Throw the book at him. He's playing like crap this year, anyway.
Usually middle fingers and stick tossing etc.Honestly I never realized Hartman had such an extensive suspension history, I didn't know this is going to be his 5th suspension. Should easily be 8-10 games.
Players don’t want this stuff. Centres can pretty much drive their opponents’ head into the ice on almost every draw if they choose. It’s just not something guys do, because it’s so dirty. To me with his history I'd give him 10 minimum. We just don't need that in the game...
Hopefully his career arc goes like this:
1. 10+ game suspension
2. clears waivers
3. KHL fodder
Good on Wild fans itt for disowning him.
Took a while but was pretty sure we'd get an idiot take on it.Nah. Hartsy wanted to push Stützle down, Stützle wanted to dive. Both combined their forces and the movement going into the same direction led to the hard impact.
Unfortunate for both but luckily not with any serious results.
The Sens would‘ve won either way and Hartman for sure needs to rest.
Seriously what the hell is wrong with you?Give him a game even though I doubt he was intending to hurt the guy, but the NHL allows guys like Stutzle to play in the league so you have to adjust and govern yourself accordingly.
This is Hartman's FOURTH fine in a row as a repeat offender, meaning he had been fined in the 12 months prior to the new fine.
1. May 13, 2021 Ryan Hartman Dangerous trip against Sammy Blais $5,000.00
2. November 21, 2021 Ryan Hartman Slew-footing Ross Colton $4,250.00 (Repeat offender)
3. April 12, 2022 Ryan Hartman Unsportsmanlike conduct against Evander Kane $4,250.00 (Repeat offender)
4. March 7, 2023 Ryan Hartman Slashing Rasmus Andersson $4,594.59 (Repeat offender)
5. December 31, 2023 Ryan Hartman High-sticking Cole Perfetti $4,427.08 (Repeat offender)
I have never seen a player chain 5 fines in a row like that before.
On top of that, in that same timeframe, i.e. in the middle of this fine-chain, he chained two suspensions together (had been suspended in the 18 months prior)!
1. April 11, 2023 Ryan Hartman Interference against Nikolaj Ehlers 1 game $9,189.19
2. November 26, 2023 Ryan Hartman Tripping Alex DeBrincat 2 games $41,463.41 (Repeat offender)
And before all this, he already had one suspension and one fine on his record (from the same season!)
October 24, 2017 Ryan Hartman Slashing Brayden McNabb $2,320.79
April 18, 2018 Ryan Hartman Illegal check to the head of Carl Soderberg 1 playoff game

How the DoPS has not gotten fed up and thrown the book at him is beyond me.
When a match penalty is called, most play by play guys will say “yeah you can’t do that…”This Wild fan is fine with him being suspended for mega games.
