It's literally their legal obligation to go to bat for Hartman, they can't not go to bat for him to the best of their abilities

This Wild fan would've preferred that he serve out the full suspension. He's been a mediocre player this year, after have 2-3 nice seasons where he added secondary scoring, versatility, and grit.

NHL does not care for the safety, health and well being of the players.

Can bettman please be shown the door, this clown needs to be gone from the NHL, he is a huge part of the problem at this point in time.

You're probably right, but it's maddening that the NHL uses that reasoning. A dangerous play is a dangerous play. That the victim avoided serious injury shouldn't weigh so heavily in deciding punishment.

And if they were serious about protecting players, non-hockey plays are the easiest to punish and should be punished severely. We're not talking about a hit that went wrong in a split second.
