10 games isn't insignificant. They rarely ever get to double digits like they should more often.

I have time for him getting more but i think it's a decent call.

Hartman is a total dirtbag, kinda slipped under the radar as one of the more scummy players in the league.

About 7 years ago, Parros dropped 10 on Burrows, 10 on Gudas, and 20 on Wilson within a 10 month period. Each one becoming the new heftiest sanction in his tenure when dolled out.

It was an, 'oh shit, Parros is taking this seriously now!' moment.
It didn't last...

Nope. It doesn’t matter how many days a suspension lasts, the lost salary is calculated based on the number of games.
Not that it is relevant to this suspension, but it is rare that I get to add a caveat to @mouser

The above is only true for discipline of on-ice conduct.
Off-ice conduct is fined based on days missed, not games

(now waiting for my understanding of off-ice conduct for the past decade to be corrected!)

The half million in fines would be really painful to just about everyone in the league. Wonder if you have to report that on taxes somehow.

they try to avoid supplemental discipline for star players so they don't get the repeat offender tag and have to potentially sit out for long durations. thats just the way it is.
The McChicken drive-by chicken wing on Marcus Johansson, who is still out with a concussion.
Then McChicken got suspended shortly after for another vicious attempt to injure.
Case in point.

Agreed.

Not surprising they got this suspension right because it’s a guy who’s easy to suspend. If Malkin or Benn or some other big name did this you’re looking at 3 games max.

I just hope Sens sign Olivier in the off season to take care of this POS when Ottawa and Minnie face again next season
