Maybe no one wanted to pay a 1st?
Heaven forbid the Hawks keep a guy who is giving it his all every night. They'll reward him with a short(ish) term contract with money they will stupidly have to spend on July 1st anyway. At least he is a known commodity, loves the city, and works hard.
People losing their mind that he wasn't moved need to take a little breather. If the price wasn't met, would you have preferred we get a 2nd round pick (we already have 4 picks in round 1 &2) and then go overpay an unknown commodity the same or more money on July 1?
