Can’t wait to see him score for his new team in his first game against us…..

So there's a chance he may be back.
as it should be, and its a good thing, for NYR

some folks may love dumping on lesser-skill players,

but it takes ~30 skaters to survive the season and post-season
NYR already shed Hunt and Reaves,
Gettinger has long-ish term injury, Rydahl has had multiple spurts of missed games

NYR has been very fortunate, injury-wise, last few seasons, compared to some other NHL franchises
that can change in eye-blink

I had no problem with this signing or the player. 4th liners kind of are what they are and there tends to be a huge overreaction to them in general.

Waiving him to relieve the cap chokehold does make sense.

I'm glad he cleared because having that body if we have an injury is key. He can take a shift without nuking an entire line, which Reaves couldn't this year.

Also Tyler Motte sucks.

He's a complete black hole offensively just like Blais and Carpenter.

He did a couple of noticeable things and stuff in one game against Carolina and that's what everyone remembers.

I'm more comfortable with Vesey on the first line than I would be with Motte on the third line.

Vesey has scored 16 goals three times and everyone hates his offense. Motte doesn't have 16 goals since the covid stoppage.

I don't get why people want Kakko to play more physical. He is extremely effective at retrieving the puck and forechecking because he knows how to position himself and use his stick. If he just starts hitting players he's not going to be retrieving the puck. He's fine being physical once he gets the puck.

Asking him to start hitting all the time is just straight up reducing his effectiveness and a foolish waste of his talents
Yes....being physical sure took a few years off of Ovie -Bergeron...just to name a couple.

Between Hunt, Reaves, Vesey and Carpenter they could’ve signed Motte three times

Also Waiting for the Rangers to claim Rooney next and totally shatter all the cap room they opened
This organization has always been poorly run, so expect nothing different.

Buch trade was awful. Keeping Reaves over Motte was beyond stupid, etc.
