Didn't see a thread on him. One of four Finnish skaters eligible for the 2024 draft to receive games at the Liiga level this season. He has recorded three goals in 15 games.

Looks like another potential kid to watch from Finland for next year's draft.

In the Liiga he scores half a point per game.
Is there a chance to be drafted as an overager?

I think someone will take him next year. A lot of his pts are assists and pp assists, but the fact that he's playing at 18 in Liiga and getting those opportunities says something.

And the fact that he scores points on shitty Jukurit team is notable itself.

Would Jukurit being among the worst teams in the league be a positive or negative factor in evaluating Hynninen?

Is he only playing in Liiga because the team is weak or would he have even better numbers playing on a stronger team?

Hynninen probably wouldn't make the roster on some of the strongest teams but the fact that he's doing quite well on a bad team is a positive sign to me. Jukurit would be a worse team without him. Therefore I say it is a positive factor.

Liked what I saw from him this tournament. Interesting player, really felt surprising that not 1 NHL team could spare a 4-7th rounder on him, but just as surprising how he became this late 1st/early 2nd round grade for some of the internet scouts on the lists going around. Hope for his sake he's done enough to get called this year and you can see a path to playing NHL games for sure.

Hynninen is a good young hockey player, but I don't really believe in NHL potential with him. He's small and not very skilled. More of a grinder and a 2-way player. Not enough skill to be a scoring forward in NHL and too small to be a bottom 6 grinder.
