He also touched a ref's hand! He needs to be suspended or something, such disrespect, a good ol' Canadian boy would never. Oh, wait.playing around with a ref's whistle

You'd think with how terrible Michkov is, some Hab fans would be able to get over the fact that their team didn't pick him.
Hutson clearly is the Calder, and deserves it. An incredible rookie campaign, and i'm excited to see what he does next year with a team that should be a bit better as well.
Celebrini? Better than i expected, no doubt about it. Kid is a gamer and i can't wait to see his career blossom as well.
Wolf is a franchise goalie. I'm certain of it. Faltered down the stretch a bit, but did far more than he should have been as a rookie in the NHL
None of this takes away from how good Michkov has been, what he did on that team with that coach, particularly at 5v5.
The Flyers should have traded Cutter for Hutson and not Drysdale.
I’m sure they would have. Cutter looks good so far too. I think the Flyers tried to trade Cutter for the Demidov pick but I may be misremembering. That is an interesting scenario.
I wonder if Montreal would have made that trade if it was offered back then.
Despite having Torts as coachWith his 25th and 26th goals tonight, Michkov has finished as the Rookie Goal Scoring Leader. Nice accomplishment!
I'm sorry but it wouldn't have mattered who the Habs had in the system, Demidov there are 5 was a gift from the hockey Gods to the Habs and they would still have taken him.People keep repeating this narrative, but if they took Michkov (which they wouldn’t have because he basically made it known he wouldn’t have signed there), they wouldn’t have drafted Demidov - it would’ve been one of the D - Yakemchuk, Parekh, Silayev, Dickinson, Buium.
I mean, you can believe they would’ve if you want, but there is no way Hughes was going to take two smallish offensive wingers in back to back years with high picks when Caufield and Suzuki are already in the top-six and part of the future.
All depends on his teammates. Highly doubt we have an complementary stars to help push him there next year. Powerplay will still likely be doodoo.Next season with a new coach I'd like to see at least 1PPG and preferably 90.
Fair point - although I'll say since the coaching change, he had 12 points in 9 games. To me his conditioning is more important than roster improvements as he's already shown he can do PPG (start and end of season). All depends on his teammates. The best approach to your team passing on a superior player or squandering their chance to draft talent is to get mad at your own team, not the player.
I hate that the Flyers passed on Cole Caufield and Zeev Buium. The team is legitimately stupid. In no way would I lead with tearing down those players. It's not their fault the Flyers are incompetent. Just like it's not Michkov's fault the Canadiens blew it. As a Flyers fan, I don't think "I hope Demidov is really bad" because of this fictional rivalry. My reaction is "I wish the Flyers would have tanked to get a really good player."

No that was the draft before - The one they selected Reinbacher withSupposedly the Flyers were trying to trade Gauthier to Montreal for their pick to select Demidov. Montreal was smart to pass.
