Torts does know better. His man walked in and he walked out of the zone. His team didn’t have possession. It was brutal defensive coverage. He was trying to cheat offence. He deserved to be coached after that play. They were 5 vs 4 opponents, Michkov was preparing for offense, and the Isles defensman saw it and didn't support the attack. It wasn't Michkov's fault that 4 Flyers couldn't protect their goal vs the same number of NYI players. It's probably what Michkov tried to tell Torts, but of course Torts knows everything better...
Are u serious? They are a bottom feeder team with not even close to enough talent to be competitive. The coach is not to blame. The Flyers don't need to trade their best asset. They need to figure out why they have a coach who doesn't win and rubs people the wrong way.
These are the growing pains young players have to go through some times. Michkov is a beauty. A tremendous talent. In this instance he missed his defensive coverage. It is what it is. He shouldn’t be traded. That’s ridiculous. Still torts had every right to coach him.
