I don't see the issue (and the tweet above contains some editorialization). The season is a grind for a young player coming from another league. Spending one night resting and refocusing isn't a bad idea.
It depends. He needs to be back in the lineup next game with a clean slate. If he’s not, it becomes a problem. You can’t keep scratching a star young player over some minor defensive issues. Once or twice throughout a season to keep them motivated and working hard, sure.

separate civilization
They are and have been ingrained
Torts is trying to correct them
You can’t just continue to let him play how he wants or how he thinks he’s helping the team
Kaprizov won't agree with you. Torts is a hothead who has low patience threshold and is in love with grinders. Michkov should not be playing in the nhl for the flyers under torts. It is a recipe for disaster.

Tbh he was allowed a lot in Sochi, basically MM and Tyanulin were doing whatever they wanted, and there was basically no defensive system in the team anyway, not in a long run. So I was worried that he might've picked bad habits during his time there. Or more like reverted to Junior habits and didn't learn much about defensive awareness in a pro game. Still, I didn't think Torts would scratch him. I knew defensive game and not great skating were gonna be a problem but still hoping that Torts would give him opportunities to learn. I guess he was tired of waiting on improvements. I'm not a big Torts' fan but I don't think he's doing anything bad or turning Mich into a grinder. He needs to learn a little defensive awareness, it's not 90's anymore you can't just say 'screw defence, not my problem'. Or earlier 00's I guess, like Kovalchuk. But he was fast and big unlike Mich. But gotta say I'm not gonna watch next Flyers game, the way they play is sad even with Mich in roster. And he was definitely not the only one who played poorly, whole team looks depressing.

More games off would be really good for Michkov.

He's not at the point where he can play with sustained energy for 82 games. I suspect not even 70 games.

If you want to see the best that Michkov can offer then you should hope he's not played to exhaustion.

There's no way you're serious when hating this much
You are using the word serious here?

Did you look at that avatar?

One game isn't a big deal, no one not even Torts is expecting another Hossa here just more detail and attention and Michkov has been struggling and certainly isn't a finished product yet.

There are 2 camps on Michkov

First camp are people who think he is a very talented player, one of the most talented in his generation and if developed properly might become an over PPG player for long time.
This camp is called "the haters"

Another camp is pushing a theory that Michkov is Gretzky/Lemieux or at least McDavid tier player. Hence the overblown expectations(like the mood now and Torts bashing after a recent slump) and overrated past performances(best junio KHL siason evar!) while mocking, dismissing and agressively snapping at the factual evidence that challenges their perception.
