Klim Kostin during yesterday's intermission talking about Canadian captain Maxime comtoise and his habit of diving:

“In his previous life, he worked at a circus. Didn’t you know that? Perhaps he watched the World Cup of soccer, Neymar is probably his best friend.”

Lol.

From one captain to another.

If he can somehow get some pep in his step, he'll be a good player. Strong player with good skills. But as of now he's a slug who can't keep up.

He turned 19 8 months ago.... not that means the guy was right saying he's not NHL material.

Yeah, that’s my point. I’m not going to label him a non nhl type of player at 19 yrs old. He has plenty of tools to be a really good player. Big, strong, aggressive, plays with an edge , good skill.

Really needs to work on his skating if he wants to find much success in the NHL.

Just my .2

Can't feel good being booed on the biggest hockey stage of your life. Regardless of how the young guy acted, I feel for him.

Love his game. Big, physical, tough, plays with an edge, can score, fight. My type of player. He’s going to be a force in the nhl. Anybody have a player comparison for him? I cant think of one. Maybe Keith Tkachuk? Rick Toccet?

I think those guys provided more offense even from an early age. While kostin may be a physical force, I'd be surprised if he ever tops 40 points in the NHL.

Probably depends on the success of the team, his line mates and PP time. Lot of variables.

After this WJC I doubt he will reach even that. What a great development path that is.

The AHL style of play can be erratic at times, I hope he gets some NHL games this year so he knows what he needs to work on and is exposed to a more structured game.
