I think Kappy is one of the prospects that would be affected positively by playing in the AHL for a couple of more seasons. Bring him up at age 22 and see him going for the Calder. If he was brought up now, it could easily mean bottom six and reduced minutes along. The negatives might out weigh the positives. Rantanen was "destroying" the AHL and while looking great for Avalanche, he hasn't really been able to show up on the score sheet. Kapanen is still behind Rantanen's pace, is smaller and as stated by 93leafs has still been showing consistency issues. Let Kappy break some AHL records and then call him up as a top six winger.

If he maintains this pace he is making the Leafs. Only way he does another season is if he falls off a cliff.
