It sounds like it's minor, and they said during the broadcast he could be available Wednesday. He probably was super jet lagged too so maybe it was for the best.

I don't think the Avs have any interest in trading him.

This might be stupid (I'm unfamiliar with hockey gear as a person who's never worn those), but during the WJC, he had some kind of extra support thingy on his wrist. Maybe that's where the upper body injury is?

I'd bet if it wasn't jet lag it's that, he did have a minor wrist injury earlier. And no it's not a trade.
