Trading Rossi with the hopes that Yurov can replace him is going to be a fireable offense if Yurov doesn’t work out as a NHL center.

In the meantime, feel free to join our Discord ServerThere is such thing as too much cap space (Minny+dramatically rising cap = too much cap space) and the premise is that Vancouver would want to upgrade through FA to avoid a situation where Petersson is their best C.First off, I doubt Vancouver trades their best center for a winger, especially after trading miller away. secondly, EP doesn’t have much trade value with a 11.6 mil caphit. I think minny should trade Rossi for a young unestablished player with upside with an add for cap savings from a Rossi contract and spend the cap savings via free agency
wild will match any offersheet and trade him. This isn't about a cap issue. wild have plenty of capCould Rossi be victim of an offer sheet if someone offers around 9 mil? Comp would 1st, 2nd, 3rd.
Depending on who, an unprotected 2026 1st can be mighty appealing.Could Rossi be victim of an offer sheet if someone offers around 9 mil? Comp would 1st, 2nd, 3rd.
I liked Hage a lot during the draft. Dach + Hage + 1st would be doable for me, assuming Rossi is a goner.Rossi is a good player he isn't a recent top 5 pick + last years 21st pick( looks like he should have gone higher) + another 1st.
That's insane.
Id do Dach + 1st + Hage or Mailloux
lol wild aren't trading Rossi to take on Dach lol. They don't need another prospect especially a Dman prospect. with all due respect, wild use Rossi to upgrade. Not a lesser value like Dach who's not good. Hage isn't proven either but wild are last team with any needs at DRossi is a good player he isn't a recent top 5 pick + last years 21st pick( looks like he should have gone higher) + another 1st.

I don't think Guerin would match $9M. Probably wouldn't even match $8M.wild will match any offersheet and trade him. This isn't about a cap issue. wild have plenty of cap
I mean Russo has been saying wild have offered him what Boldy is making and a little more. It's just Russo saying he won't go to 9mil or more.I don't think Guerin would match $9M. Probably wouldn't even match $8M.
Boldy only makes $7M.I mean Russo has been saying wild have offered him what Boldy is making and a little more. It's just Russo saying he won't go to 9mil or more.
that's true. Maybe they will go 8mil. I don't think wild are stupid enough to let Rossi go to an offer sheet. Highly doubt any team is going to offer Rossi 9 to 10 mill as per Russo, that's what his agent is asking for. Whose Rossi agent anyway? Apparently, Russo was saying his agent is very difficult to work with. Is his agent Fiala's agent??Boldy only makes $7M.
Our GM might be very difficult to work with. I don't get into those weeds.that's true. Maybe they will go 8mil. I don't think wild are stupid enough to let Rossi go to an offer sheet. Wild Athletic writer Michael Russo mentioned the following during one of his latest podcasts (speculation starting at 59:16):
-Likely to go after Brock Nelson in free agency (sigh)
-Doesn't think Minnesota will be into Boeser unless the price is "perfectly right" because they will be exploring the trade market
-Mentions JJ Peterka as a trade target (for him specifically)
-Higher than 70% chance that Rossi is traded this summer (Joe Smith said the number is around 70% for him that Rossi is traded) and that the Wild and Rossi camp are far apart in contract negotiations
-Possibility they trade Spurgeon or Bogosian this summer to make room for Jiricek in the lineup
Who are some other top 6 forwards the Wild could target this summer?
No one knows. Most Wild fans think that Guerin simply doesn't like Rossi because of his lack of height. I understand him not wanting to pay Rossi more than JEE, who is on a team friendly 5.25M AAV, but he has to adjust to the league the way it is, not the way it was. I am guessing that Rossi will settle for Boldy money (7M), though he might be asking for Faber money(8.5M) right now due to the future cap increases. What is Rossi looking for that Minnesota doesn't want to meet contract negotiations? Peterka should be getting a big pay day, are they going to struggle to meet Peterka's camp, or is Marco looking for an insane deal?
I can think of all kinds of reasons to fire Guerin besides that.Trading Rossi with the hopes that Yurov can replace him is going to be a fireable offense if Yurov doesn’t work out as a NHL center.
Not an issue with Rossi. Rossi appears to be exceptionally healthy, and his heart didn't receive long term damage. Usually Myocarditis victims have their condition aggravated by other factors that are absent in his case.Doesn't Rossi have myocarditis? The mortality rate (age/sex adjusted) over 10 years is 25%. I'd be afraid to trade for Rossi

Doesn't seem like any of these will really address scoring, unless the Peterka trade is Ohgren+pick/prospect for Peterka.
Rossi + Brodin for Thompson?Buffalo has 0 interest in picks and prospects. If Minnesota calls asking on Peterka, I imagine that conversation starts and ends with Rossi.
Hockey aside, that's great news for the young man.Not an issue with Rossi. Rossi appears to be exceptionally healthy, and his heart didn't receive long term damage. Usually Myocarditis victims have their condition aggravated by other factors that are absent in his case.
Oooh, interesting.Rossi + Brodin for Thompson?
