See what I mean?Russia was my bet before the tournament. Saw them in Karjala and thought directly they are underrated as hell. Canada is up there with them, but Sweden without their best players and Finland as well, it's between two countries and that was my opinion before the tournament.
Russia are schooling USA right now. They are a much better unit but not only that, the players actually look a lot more promising on individual level as well. I would choose Khusnutdinov before Caufield all day, everyday. Amirov too.
Meh. More blame to go around. Play along the boards is taken away on forehand and backhand, naturally the play is to the centre of the ice. If the F1 doesn't get so tight, it's on the tape and the transition begins. Details matter.
This is extreme homerism, he and Knight had the worst games on the team tonight. Sanderson is a great player, much better than this. If this was his "average" he would have been lucky to get drafted at all.Usually players that just want to get rid of it throw it down the boards and the puck is easily kept in the zone by the other team. He had an option to break out the puck with control rather easily if Berard was more aware of what was going on around him.
We see Chabot do that often in Ottawa, Karlsson did it a ton, it's the most effective way to break out when you have control right down the middle. That was bad luck, if it was a normal game no one would be talking about that. It's the WJC everything is amplified.
All that being said, I don't think he had a good game. He was average, you can see the skating ability and that he thinks the game at a high level but he's bobbling the puck and not moving as confidently as he can. The entire D has been that way though tonight, even York has been brutal in the 3rd.
LOL !!!!!Matthews like shot
CAN YOU BELIEVE IT?!Yikes, bad icing.
