I think it mostly comes from people expecting him to be a top scorer when he is more like Ryan O’Reilly / Horvat type, But as a winger not a centre

one of their best centres is sitting on the bench after being great in their last exhibition. Obviously can't complain about this score for Russia but I think Abramov can help them

Why can't you? 90% of this US roster has been playing for the last 5 weeks. This isn't stepping into a rink for the first time In 8 months like you want to make it out to be.

They just are not a good team.

Genuine question: have those been competitive games in those 5 weeks? I ask because I keep hearing that most US players haven’t played competitive games (key word competitive) since March

I think you should take some time not looking at just the score sheet when you’re evaluating players.

He was quiet in the first, but he had a very good second period.

Love the compete both Pods and Amirov have all over the ice. Non stop motors, who play a 200' game. Which is why I think he transitions easily (and soon) to the NHL.

One thing I learned about the world juniors, is this game is not even remotely close to being over, 4-1 leads are literally nothing in the world juniors
