The team that lost to Slovakia the other day with Kravtsov, Rykov, Sharoc etc what is the roster?
He won the shootout and not by shooters screwing it up. He's made some good saves. You are being ridiculous with this. I've seen some "elite" goalies having worse shootouts and wouldn't call them helpless.sure, but looked helpless to me

strange cut for me, considering the likes of Blazhievsky Khafizullin and Zub are still in. Also Kovi - time to stay home or go somewhere south, we don't need him on this team, plenty of leadership with Ovechkin coming in.Yakovlev
Because he hasn't played all year
He tried to return to the NHL, but Bettmann and Daley dragged the appeal process out until he effectively waited for the length of the regular season only to find out he won't be allowed to play. So he basically wasted a whole season and hasn't played one game.I did not know this, thanks. Last I heard of him playing was the Olympics so I just figured these tournament teams were a given for him.
More than just Yelesin. There were 10 D-men still in camp IIRC.Looks like Yelesin is out and Zadorov has been added.
Another Bronze. With that lineup most fans see this as disappointing. Imo, a clear coach's loss vs. the Finns. Vorobyev will apparently keep his job though, which I find wrong.
I would attribute this on the management as well, one needs to assemble a team not an all star roster. Our stars got outworked by their roll players, and we couldn't throw our roll players at them, because we had a few, and Kovi was taking one of their spots.Another Bronze. Russia didn't play the COLLECTIVE style of hockey that they need to play if they want to win anything. I just saw it from the first game that this team didn't have it. The biggest culprits by far were Ovechkin and Kovalchuk and their "I'm a great star" individual style of games. If Vorobyev had any sense he would have benched both after the first game and played more team oriented guys such as Plotnikov and Telegin instead.Another Bronze. Ovechkin was just as horrible. With these two spending a combined 30 minutes on ice Russian game was out of sync for the 50% of the game.I would attribute this on the management as well, one needs to assemble a team not an all star roster.
