I’ll say either 8x4.75M (6th rounder to TO) or 7x5.25M

I’d actually be okay with 8x$4.75M. Those last few years would be painful but there’s a decent chance it would be LTIR or they could structure the deal so a buyout in year 7 wouldn’t be too terrible.

It’s obviously a huge gamble but he’s be a good fit with McDavid and I like the idea of adding a grittier dimension to the top 6. I have a feeling the cap hit would be higher even at 8 years though which is scary.

Nothing we can do about it, lol. Hall wants to stay with the bruins. We got no choice and have to overpay Hyman since we got such a horrific hole in our top 6 wing. It is what it is.

If they get Hyman's AAV at or below $5 M, I am starting to not care about the last 4 years of an 8 year deal. The Oil do need to win soon and getting a $5M top 6 winger would be ideal. If he needs to move down into middle six winger a few years into the deal, so be it. Then try dumping the deal at the end. Hopefully the cap will be up a lot by years 5 to 8.

That third line needs a lot of work. If they get DeBrusk and keep Kassian, it could be DeBrusk-BLANK-Kassian which has some potential if Kassian can turn his "give a shit" metre up next year and depending on the centre they can acquire.

I get what your saying but most teams that win, dont really have crippling contracts on them either, except for the ones that give out bad contracts to the players as a sign of loyalty after they have won a cap.
