I'd eat my hat if that happened. Like, I would be crazed with excitement. Too bad the chances of that happening are practically 0.What if you could get McAvoy out of that tire fire in Boston?

Yeah, let’s ignore the start of the year or how he needed a backup to bail him out of a series last year in the playoffs.Skinner has turned his season around and he has playoff experience along with Cup Finals experience.
And you still want Montembault?
While I'm happy he's trending positively, I'm going to need more than 5 games, especially considering horrible stretches are part of his m/oSkinner has turned his season around and he has playoff experience along with Cup Finals experience.

Montembault at 50% would be awesome. He's also signed for another 2 years after this seasonSkinner / Montembault 1a/1b would be enough to push us over the top.

I mean if this is what we're thinking Roman Josi is right there. What if you could get McAvoy out of that tire fire in Boston?
Who wouldn't want to deal with 70 cases of PMS and "do I look fat in this" or "does she look better than me"? Bro needs to think this through! It was a decent fantasy … I chuckled. Might have got a bit greedy with the 70 girls though. Nobody needs that many.
I'm pretty sure they thought it was Connor lolI still can't fathom the reason for the Josh Brown signing. Just an obscure signing and it made no sense back then. It doesn't make an inch of sense now since we decided to pick up a waiver player to put ahead of him
It’s not just the start of the year. It’s been the hallmark of his entire career. As I said in an earlier post, he’s playing very well right now but he needs to deliver for a longer period of time to show greater consistency and remove the doubt that exists around him.Yeah, let’s ignore the start of the year or how he needed a backup to bail him out of a series last year in the playoffs.
Getting a better backup/1B should be a must with how inconsistent skinner is.
I generally agree with this ….except for Dostal. I think that he’d be a solid netminder for us. Good numbers, young with a ceiling, and good skills.I watched this game. He wasn't good at all, but to be fair, the team played horribad in front of him. Fowler and Gudas in particular were a train wreck. I'm just not sure I want to touch anyone from that tire fire of team, if I'm honest. They remind me of the DoD oilers a little too much.
Dostal does really look like he's found a higher level to his game this season, some consistency. It had bits and pieces in the past, but he's really put it together. If the Ducks ever considered moving, I would pay alot if I'm the Oilers.I generally agree with this ….except for Dostal. I think that he’d be a solid netminder for us. Now would be the time to,nab him…he turns RFA next year.Dostal does really look like he's found a higher level to his game this season, some consistency. It had bits and pieces in the past, but he's really put it together. If the Ducks ever considered moving, I would pay alot if I'm the Oilers.
I don't see Montreal doing this without a massive over payment. He is their starter and Primeau has struggled bigtime this year. They also only have one retention slot left by the way. My guess is that they will more likely want to use this on a guy like Savard at the deadline. My guess is that for that deal they would want a 1st and someone like Akey or Savoie +. From the Oiler's perspective that price would not be justified.Montembault at 50% would be awesome. He's also signed for another 2 years after this season
Though it puts the Oilers in a REALLY tough spot with UFA Skinner and RFA Dostal, if you could extend him in the summer, though you need to acquire him first lol.Now would be the time to,nab him…he turns RFA next year.
?? Do you mean if he's waived again? Hell Columbus can flip him for 50% if they want, assuming they don't want to keep him.Not sure if this scenario has ever happened but can another team have claimed Fabrro and then traded him to us with 50% retention? Or does he have to go back through waivers first?

I’m not as wedded to our tenders….both are sub .900 sv% and have inconsistencies in their histories here. Hardly the stuff of permanency.Re: Goaltending: no trade is coming. Which is good news for all of you because you'll get to keep whining about goaltending until this team wins the cup!!
We should be spending every asset we have available on a #3 or #4 guy. Stu is our man, and Pickard is a solid backup. That's the end of it

Ah, I'm not sure, might be tampering, but probably could have, however I doubt that other team would be interested because of maybe wanting the player and the risk of not getting him.No I mean if we contacted a team in the waiver priority before Columbus and said hey can you claim him for us and we will trade you assets to get him at 50%.
Yet ironically enough still has a higher save percentage then skinner all while playing on the ducks......John Gibson with a stellar 0.853 against the powerhouse Senators.
Can't believe he's only at $6.4m
