Stecher is a puck mover, and he can burn any team that underestimates him. I could see adding a tough Dman as an extra, but realistically would they even be as good as Desharnais was? And Desharnais was scratched when the opposition got difficult. Ultimately the modern NHL is about puck moving and skating deep in the playoffs
I can see though, that our general lack of toughness will be a weakness. Apparently we were in on Drew O'Connor, and the early returns on him for Vancouver are good, which tells me that our management and pro scouting are good. That type of bottom sixer is what we need. I'm assuming our top six is set, with Kane as an addition there.
The Oilers really dont need a big swing, and shouldn't do a big swing. However that assumes Klingberg pans out.
We should hold off on any costly moves till the deadline. There's a lot in the air right now. We will need a little more clarity on Klingberg and Kane
