I’ve watched both players many times in the WHL with the Ice and Warriors.

Not a chance that Savoie is as good as Brayden Point was at age 20/21.

I myself am not that high on Savoie. I have him as a better Nyquist. Hopefully I’m wrong.

We always get goalie'd etc, so why not put him with the guys who generate a ton?

makes sense to me. He is a finisher. Why leave him down there with LESS chances to score, when he would have more with mcDavid. Like, why not even just try it for a while. Just idiocy from our coach.

If he can score 9 from down there.

That is like saying lets just let Barry Bonds bat very second time. Let him rest and lets half his batting chances.

Savoie is playing his first pro season after injuries and playing with absolute plugs in the and getting better by the week.

You give Savoie a full season with McDrai, Hyman, Bouchard, he outdoes 40 points in his sleep in the NHL.

RNH and Hyman are barely scoring at that rate of 40 points in 68 games. If it was so easy to do you’d think some of our forwards would be doing it. Or do you think Savoie would be our 3rd best forward right now?

What are you even talking about man ? Savoies 2nd and 3rd seasons in the WHL wrecks Point. If Savoie even had a full 3rd season he would be at 20 points clear of Point.

Where are you getting your stats from ?

This might come across incredibly rude but what are you actually trying to contribute to the forum?

Are you seriously suggesting that Edmonton send the equivalent of an unprotected 1st round pick for Marcus Pettersson? Commit 33 million dollars for a guy who has played less than a handful of games for his new team. Right now that pick is currently 12th overall and because of the conditions will be punted to next year.

Do we even have an asset worth that much? Would you have sent Savoie out to Pittsburgh and use up all of our LTIR space on a LHD? I just want to confirm that's what you're suggesting?

I'm glad our gm is not like Alvin. He has not been good. Marcus Petterson is another great signing for us. He is mid.

These people play too many video games. Good teams don’t have to make 5-6 trades because they have good rosters. Edmonton is a good team, they’re better than the team that almost won the cup last year and they’re winning a lot of hockey games. They’ll make their adds but they aren’t going to rush into dumb, desperate trades and signings because that’s what other teams are doing.

Praising teams that are trading their best players while they’re fighting for playoff spots while on the other team criticizing the management of a team near the top of the league is about as dumb as it gets. These people are morons and all you can do is laugh at their moronic opinions.
