They aren't in a bad spot, never said that or hinted at that at all. I said I was happy with the results, and that they are a very, good team. I said, depth, and middle 6 production are a concern, especially as other teams continue to add and improve around us (Dallas, Vegas, Calgary - all have). Colorado got better in net, downgraded upfront, but i am sure they are planning to add.
Kane is a complete wildcard, off for about 10 months, and coming off multiple, major surgeries. Hard to count on his production when he comes back.
My main point was, how many of the following would you say is having a better than average season so far???
RNH - no.
Arvidsson - no.
C. Brown - no.
J. Skinner - no.
Janmark - no.
Henrique - no.
Not even one of them is having an average season so far. To me, that could turn into a problem, when the games start to matter, and this team needs a goal. It can't all be on 97, 29, 18, and Corey Perry. Either some of these guys need to step up and start scoring, or they need to make an acquisition or 2, or hopefully a combination of the 2.
Way too many passengers this season, when it comes to actually scoring.
