I'm here, I'm bored
I heard that was Avs highest offer, not the other way aroundRantanen was only asking for 11.75 mill..

Yeah but that doofus, Dubas, didn’t want to “bend the knee”.
Probably bought the land from Hall. Maybe that's why he went to Carolina as well, needed to get the deal done in person.I heard Rantanen is building a Mansion close to Katz’s house. Should be done by the end of August
What I’m hearing is if you sign Rantanen you also get Hall in a package dealProbably bought the land from Hall. Maybe that's why he went to Carolina as well, needed to get the deal done in person.
The assets they gave up for Blackwood and then that extension, layers of messy.Blackwood with another stellar performance tonight rocking the .852 and the insanely well managed Avalanche now 1-3-1 in their last 5.

Swayman got lit up for 6 by the Sabres tonight as well.
It is absolutely true. I remember all the venom on the radio shows. It wasn’t until the playoffs everyone fell in love with him. Oilers barely made it into the playoffs that year and he took a lot of heat. He became bulletproof in the playoffs.Idk about that. No one hated Pronger in the slightest until he left.
Pronger was like if you took the best of Ekholm, mixed in the best of Bouchard, mixed in the best of Nurse, and then had him play 35 minutes a night while hitting everything and never making mistakes.
Pronger was f***ing bulletproof.
Blackwood on a skid and they just nuked their locker room. Could get worse.Blackwood with another stellar performance tonight rocking the .852 and the insanely well managed Avalanche now 1-3-1 in their last 5.
Trading for him was a great move. Signing him so quickly and with so much term was the puzzling one.The assets they gave up for Blackwood and then that extension, layers of messy.
I still say the spent too much to acquire Blackwood.Trading for him was a great move. Signing him so quickly and with so much term was the puzzling one.
There is speculation that they want to add another forward, perhaps to replace Mittlestadt. Although, now their fans want a move on defense.
That was a big reason why the Klingberg gamble was great. There are too many other teams lining up to add the kind of Dman we really want.
I guess it depends on how good Kovalenko is.I still say the spent too much to acquire Blackwood.
This is why I don't get the furor over missing out on Blackwood. He has always been inconsistent. At his cap hit he would have potentially been "the move" for the Oilers. Having two guys who on any given random night might tank your chances of winning is not really all that much better than having one. But if the two guy cost you double on the cap it may even be worse.Blackwood with another stellar performance tonight rocking the .852 and the insanely well managed Avalanche now 1-3-1 in their last 5.
If that's true which I doubt, the Oilers could beat the offer easily.I heard that was Avs highest offer, not the other way around
I kind of think he is going to be our "upgrade" which is disappointing.I hope this doesn't mean that we are sticking with Klingberg even if he sucks (although I think its very likely he's the guy we need for the top 4)
I never saw Power as a cornerstone for a team even during his draft year. I do think he could be a good as Parayko one daySome have been saying that Buffalo is entertaining the idea of trading Owen Power. It's too bad his contract is so big cause I could see that kid thriving here for years under Coffey's defense coaching system.
Power lacks intensity. He's a big teddy bear. Some have been saying that Buffalo is entertaining the idea of trading Owen Power. It's too bad his contract is so big cause I could see that kid thriving here for years under Coffey's defense coaching system.
Sure to Evan but it will be a logjam.Really hoping Jake Evans is available come deadline day, but the Habs are knocking on the door. He would check a lot of boxes for us.
RH Center that is above average on the dot (51.8%)
Average/above average physicality.
Excellent PKer (most SH TOI among Habs forwards, on the #6 PK in the league)
Solid offence, especially considering his role.
Then we could roll out:
Hyman-McD-Drai
Kane-Nuge-Arvidsson
Podkolzin-Evans-Perry
Janmark-Henrique-Brown
He also has previous experience playing with Perry.
Not sure what the price tag is, but I would pay a 2nd if we had to.
The Sens were insanely smart for jumping on Ullmark when they did. Got him while the Oil were still playing for the Cup. He's who I wish somehow we got our hands on him. Boston kept the wrong goaltender.
Which would be fine it were making 5.5 million per year but he makes 8.3 per year(!) Oh well.I never saw Power as a cornerstone for a team even during his draft year. I do think he could be a good as Parayko one day
