So in translation if the top teams get chances they beat Skinner, when oilers play lesser opponents they don’t give up anything and Skinner is serviceable. Not my fault Skinner is the worse goalie in the league.

My takeaway from that is that he'd be a good #2 goalie because the weaker teams are usually the ones that they play against.
