I think they should totally do the media availabilities, and call out Parros, DOPS, and Bettman for the clowns they are. It would be well worth the fines and embarrass Gary to the core.

Like pretty much every interaction between the Oilers and the DoPS, the penalty is absurd and without any justification in precedence.

Just like many other times, there is a precedent for what to do here. Matthews did the same f***ing thing to Dahlin and it was 2 games. Oh an Oiler this time? Make it 3. Just like when Nurse ate a game for instigating in the final 5 minutes despite those same penalties being reversed almost as a rule. Every other time, except that.

Then for them to equate the McDavid action, which was a clear spur of the moment response in frustration to Myers who looked a guy straight in the eyes and sticked him......

For about the 50th time - can someone in this org stand on a soap box and call out this bullshit for what it is? Just once?

Same situation of false equivalency to benefit Vegas resident George Parros’ home team. Nurse triggered the 1 game rule (he is still the only guy out of 5 or 6 in years where the late instigator suspension was upheld) so could give Peter Angelo 1 and claim it should be even. Now Myers does a ridiculous full cross check into Bouch’s mouth that deserved 3 games, so can toss the same at McDavid while we are looking to pass Vegas in the standings.

We all love hockey, but it has gone downhill a lot. The stars do not get calls and they allow the scrubs to basically "cheat".

As a fan, I have no trust in it, even if EDM got even better. I always feel like we are going to be screwed in a big game.

Why would they? They want the league to be even. That means stars don’t draw penalties and holding McDavid and the like is encouraged for parity.

Yup. The league protects rats, weasels etc and does whatever they can to bend the rules for sunbelt / bandwagon fanbase teams etc. They don't care about established teams with loyal fanbases because they know we'll continue to be loyal.

Personally, I haven't spent a dime on the NHL in years, and I know others that haven't, but there are still enough supporters that they don't give a f***.
