I hope we go all in on an off the radar solution. Similar to what we found in Ekholm. Those guys aren't it, we'd be settling.

I really don't think we lost much with Ceci either. I think Knob's system can keep afloat alot of mid-tier defenceman. To really make an impact on this roster we need someone better, someone that has the talent to bring offence too. I'm skewed towards the puck movement end of the spectrum for whoever we get.

I don’t think Ekholm was an off the radar pick up. I think people were surprised we got him though.

Someone tell me a more delusional fan base in sports then Pittsburgh?

I don’t know. Last time I went to the Pens board, if was pretty doom and gloom there. They hate Sullivan and think the core is done.

Vancouver is the worst

Canucks give up a breakaway and look like clown show after. Goalie keeps it out. But I was told EDM makes all of the bonehead errors in the NHL

The funny stuff is in the Jiricek trade thread on the mains.

Some of them are trying to convince people McGroarty is a good return for Jiricek.

Lets trade Rodrigue before they put him in. Lets trade him with another asset and get a top AHL goalie...one that projects to be something we can use.
And end up being hot garbage. Panic trade mentality as usual. That's how we lost Kesselring and many others.

Depends on your definition i guess. But most of the hockey world was surprised when Kenny pulled off the trade. He had term, was an expensive cap for what’s usually targeted at the TDL, and his name wasn’t constantly talked about by insiders

I’d put the Kesselring loss more on Kenny’s laziness than panic though.

Cue the Hall to Edmonton rumours!! I’ll go ask Gazzola to see if he’s building a house

Is Hall even fast anymore? I think injuries have taken a toll.

Also there would have to be significant retention if they want to trade a guy they healthy scratched.

The salary cap ceasing to exist.
I have always liked Trouba’s greasy, edge of fair play game. He’s a new age Pronger with less offensive upside (which isn’t a MUST HAVE for a Dman add, here) but he ain’t coming here. I suspect he lands in the east to be close to his Dr wife and at the extreme, Vegas, because it’s Vegas.

Not very much because his play has drastically fell off besides hitting. I don’t think he’s ever going to waive his nmc. The Rangers are pretty much married to him. He might waive to Islanders, Jersey etc because close to NY but I doubt that.
I feel like Trouba was more highly regarded than his actual ability.

Not saying you specifically, but I do think it's funny that people are anointing Nurse as "fixed" based on a 10 game sample with Kulak but Bouchard has 120 regular season and 50 playoff games of excellence but they see one highlight on SportsCentre and he's ass.

Both players have been good this year. I honestly think some fans just watch highlights and focus on the handful of bad plays they make while ignoring all all the good ones.

Looked fast every time I saw him play for the Hawks, but this latest injury, who knows.
Montreal's gotta be #1.

More than half of them wouldn't trade Arber Xhekaj for a first rounder.
Yup. In terms of delusion, it's Habs and it's not close.

It used to be the Leafs, but they've eaten so much humble pie over the years that's dissipated.

If that’s destiny, I don’t want to date her. She’s not my type.
He's the missing piece. You will see.

Hall is old and busted and got healthy scratched on fricken blackhawks of all teams. He's not good anymore.
Hard to play in Chicago, when your heart is in Edmonton.

This is what a goalie can do.

Canucks have 8 shots in almost 2 periods and like 5 of them are on a PP. Maybe 1 high danger chance call game.

Bruins have had a bunch and Lankenen just saving everything
