Man if they could flip Jeff Skinner to Boston, get Boston to send Fredrick to the Habs, then add some pieces for Matheson at 50%, they'd be cooking with gas.
I want Blackwood.
Normally I'd agree that a NMC would be a big issue. But from Skinner's perspective this was also about of a show-me contract. If he is going to be seeing most of his time with guys like Ryan it will be tough for him to earn his next contract, especially with the Oilers. With a team like Boston he could find himself in a situation where he can set himself up for next year in a location that is not so far from home.Only if he did not have that pesky NMC and Matheson is Bouchard light but worse
He is the guy I am looking at
Next time have a double before you go to bed to ward off that type of hallucination.Guys I had a nightmare last night which involved this trade for us.
To PIT: Pickard, 4th rd
To EDM: Jarry
Jarry and Skinner hometown goalie tandem.

I’ll easily trade both bourgault and Yamamoto for himI asked ChatGPT what we would need to trade to get Lindholm, and here's what I got:
Likely Trade Proposal:
There was also a string of text that suggested we might need to add Brock Nelson (??????), so yea I think all of our jobs are safe for a little while longer.
- Edmonton Oilers: Xavier Bourgault (or similar high-end prospect), Kailer Yamamoto (or similar NHL roster player), 2024 first-round pick.
- Boston Bruins: Hampus Lindholm
Again, we're discussing options for the team, you're quitting before you start.Only if he did not have that pesky NMC and Matheson is Bouchard light but worse

Now you're just making things up. They need more skilled wingers, he's that. It's actually really straight forward.Skinner is not a "boston" type player is the other problem.
He should just come back after the break. He might feel fine but it’s better to play it safe with a potential brain injury.Sounds like Nurse is back Saturday. Man this guy is some tough shit
I agree with him, I'm having trouble remembering the last one-dimensional undersized winger who skewed towards being soft that Boston actively acquired.Again, we're discussing options for the team, you're quitting before you start.
Boston is a playoff team and appears to be a better fit, plus it's Eastern conference travel, is suspect he would wave, but again definitely quit before you start

I’d rather keep Brown over Dermott but I think that would eat an extra 250k of cap.
I totally agree. This break seems like the perfect thing for that. It's only 1 more missed game. It's against the Rangers but still. They have a hunter like Trouba out thereHe should just come back after the break. He might feel fine but it’s better to ply its age with a potential brain injury.
Alot of Habs fans feel this wayMy habs buddy dislikes him with a passion. He'd be overjoyed if Matheson got traded here.
Him: "Matheson can move the puck but his defensive awareness makes you want to break your TV."
Don't think we need that on our second pairing with a guy who's decision making is still rather low in Nurse, lol.
Where is thisJust saw it. Holy you're right lol. He said quite a bit. It was very specific
Not that I disagree but I find it hilarious they feel that way about Matheson but are dislocating shoulders patting themselves on the backs about Hutson.Alot of Habs fans feel this way
I dunno, the assets required to get him will be massive and he’s not a top 4 yetGetting Jiricek seems like a no brainer. He's clearly disgruntled at being stuck behind all the RD in Columbus. He's cheap enough that we could send back a smallish contract like Stecher and maybe Ryan and it all fits easily and we can still accrue for a bigger move later
Fowler is done though. Hes got nothing left.I wonder if this is Fowler and the holdup is that he's out 2-4 weeks with an "upper body injury":
-Puck mover
-Can play the right side
-Has one year left after this one
I just don't see how on earth the cap works unless we get double retention, but even 50% is going to up the price significantly given the extra year. OTOH, he was having a very poor start and at full ticket was too expensive for most contenders to acquire, so retention by Anaheim might just end up being the cost of doing business.
The only other player I can think of is Erik Gustafsson and Stauffer has a weird fascination with him. The cap makes way more sense, but I'd be absolutely against trading even nothing for him. He's a third pairing guy who posts third pairing results and we do not need another one of those.
So confused with how much space we will have at the deadline???
Kane is not using LTIR space. If he comes back it doesn't change the cap at all.So confused with how much space we will have at the deadline???
We have about 304,000 right now? How does Kane being on LTIR affect this? If he comes back before the deadline how does it affect it?

I knew our scoring was rough but…
Last year not including McDrai we had 4 forwards hit 40+ points. This year we are on pace for none. Boys gotta get scoring.
