I really don’t see Peeke as a dump, but as an asset actually. He’s been very sound and worth his cap, even without the cap rising.

I won’t argue about Savoie because TDLs go nuts and he’s one of the few assets you have that can be used to trade without subtracting from the roster. Whether he’s worth the price is obvs different, but Marchand would easily get a 1st and prospect by himself.

Because really you're likely going to trade that later pick anyway, if you can get what you need now than there is some logic to say do it now and give yourself a better chance of winning a Cup this year and next, rather than sit on that pick as something to be traded next year.
