I agree with the bolded. Goalies are Voodoo and who really knows if we add one how they will play. Giving Mcdavid and Drai no top 6 wingers to play with is absolutely idiotic. We are an offensive team and we need to be built to play to our strengths.

I disagree that the goaltending is not affecting the team though. These guys have played hockey their whole lives, they aren't numb to what's happening. Look at how Mcdavid praised Binnington. He's never talked like that regarding Skinner. It 100 percent has to be mentally draining for the players on the team to deal with.

The offseason was such a mess and we are WAY slower. I feel like we have to work so hard to be able to keep up out there. We can judge after the TDL

Just to be clear I didnt say that goaltending wasnt affecting the team.
Less than average goaltending always affects a team.
What I said was that a player doesnt change his level of execution when playing a system if the goalie is struggling.
My concern with this team is that hear we are in year 9 for Connor and the team STILL isnt a finished product.
I would even suggest that the team (as it is built now up front) has regressed from last years team. Goaltending is part of that and i know that I bring this up a fair bit but I really dont think that enough people realize just how much signing Jack Campbell set this team back.

They did last year. They were absolutely fearless despite the numerous deficits they faced. This year they seem resigned to their fate.

I mean that's a ridiculous standard to hold a team to. Last year likely exhausted the team to keep coming back like that.

Pickard has been hot as a back-up, Skinner has not. Betting on these 2 is a massive risk that shouldn't be taken.

The fact that they got Husso back could possibly mean Anaheim is not expecting to bring back a Skinner or Kochtekov (if Carolina is the suitor) in a deal for Gibson.

Because that's a lot of money to be paying just for AHL goaltending.

I feel like we’ve had a couple dozen games where we let in 3 goals on the first 10-12 shots. It’s a regular thing.
