Wow, I'm as big of a Clouder fan as anyone but that is a sick deal by JJ. As others noted, since this doesn't solve our cap issues entirely, I see another move coming. I'm gonna guess Jackson does the impossible and moves Nurse.

I like Ekblad Pionk but they’re on contenders. Then you’ve got Larsson, maybe Seattle slips out again. Tough to find a Ceci upgrade on the rental market eh.

The hope here is Seattle stumbling out of the gate and getting in early with Francis skirting us to have some dialogue with Larsson, convincing him to come back and try to win a Championship. Hope he has the time of his life and maybe he'll want to finish his career here.

A little sad to see Tullio go, but Savoie will make me forget real quick.
Same. I think he plays in the NHL within the next two seasons. Smart two way player, just a little on the smaller side.

I'll just say it. I was a little concerned that the proceedings in his brother's SA case may have eventually become a distraction. Ryan has been nothing but an outstanding person, but I believe that would be a huge stress on anyone to have that so close to them.

McLeod is better than some give him credit to but it seems like as soon as Henrique re-signed this was always likely. We lose some speed but add some depth.

In purgatory
I'm not even a Holland hater, but this offseason feels like the training weights are off or something.

Free agents wanting to sign with a winning team is one thing, but fleecing other GMs is another story all together.
Turning a bottom 6 guy, even if he is a speed demon and a very good PKer, along with a minor prospect into a very recent top 10 talent pick is something. There is no way in hell Holland would pull something like this off.

Savoie was a near goal a game regular season guy prior to injury last season, then produced again in the WHL playoffs.

He doesn't help anytime soon.. and by god is he small.
I know he's a good player... I'm just surprised this is the move we are making.

I feel like there has to be another move coming.
He was 2ppg in the WHL, and ppg in the AHL last season, plays all situations including PK in junior, and is according to most Sabres fans NHL ready. I'm willing to place my bets that he not only helps us next season, but plays his way into the top 9.

I don’t think there is another shoe it is basically we can bury Brown and whoever else required and be cap compliant if needed

Gotta think Holloway might be dealt for a dman here
I think Savoie means they are for sure keeping Holloway, not that I ever thought they were thinking of moving him. The Oilers are bringing in 3 guys under 5'10 to replace two guys over 6'3. I hope they aren't thinking about moving anymore size up front.

In your closet
Gotta think Holloway might be dealt for a dman here. Math don't add up, too many NHL forwards atm

I'd say we don't have enough forwards actually, especially if Kane isn't ready to play out of camp.

Team already projects to be playing Derek Ryan full time which is a questionable idea and then next up is the reanimated corpse of Corey Perry.

The math here does not add up
It adds up fine if logic suggests Kane won't be out a whole season like fans are OPTIMISTICALLY
praying at this point. Even with Kane gone the team has one too many NHL forwards

I also HIGHLY doubt they think their dcore is just fine after that playoffs.

Kane or Holloway are the only 2 that make sense, and Holloway is more appealing I'd say to other GMs at this point
