The D is still not champ quality IMO, without Nurse having a big bounce back year, or Broberg having a big breakout year, but its certainly passable. We can add at the trade deadline if required.
That forward group, while somewhat old and not that fast in some spots, has insane depth, especially if Kane sticks around on LTIR and comes back for the playoffs. We aren't getting 100+ point RNH or 50+ goal Hyman again, but there is enough talent spread in the lineup where scoring goals shouldn't be an issue.

it’s one thing for players to say it’s a tight room and they love playing here, it’s another thing for 4 or 5 players to take discounts because they love playing here. Been a long time since you could say that here.

JJ said he'll have to see a specialist and they'll go from there. Said his health and getting him healthy was the more important thing right now. Reading between the lines, he might be setting up an LTIR f***ery in the future.

WTF, I figured we were done for the day, so I go outside for an hour, come back and we've signed Rico. Just an incredible day for JJ. I know he doesn't want to do the daily travel with the team like a GM would, but when it comes time to signing guys, I hope he keeps this role as the chief signing officer. He must have a vacation booked for tomorrow, cause he basically got all his business taken care of in one day. Hopefully he's not flying Westjet to wherever he's going.
