Not really knocking Philp, but I would be curious how many 26 year olds who scored at his pace in the AHL turned into good NHLers, even as fourth liners. Part of me feels like the organization is too high on the guy, and that it's unlikely he ever turns into anything.
He took an entire year off. He looked fine to me yesterday.

I mentioned this last Week but to go with this tweet,I’ll also drop this

It would be kind of boring, but it could be Rhett Pitlick. They just signed him to an AHL deal. He was by far the best player on his NCAA team and Ryan Holt(Bako's PBP guy) thought he was the best player on the ice for the Condors last night.

He's small(5'10'' 170lbs) and already on that AHL deal, so it wouldn't make a ton of sense, but maybe a possibility.

No kidding, it's actually kinda funny lol
Why would we be proponents of adding dumb players? Not really that funny. Stripes have struggled for us in the last couple games, for sure, but as refs at all levels get treated like crap, the pool gets smaller and the quality suffers.

As someone who refs, in no way would I ever recommend to any young person to take up reffing.

Fair, the league can take care of that while they deal with their integrity issues. It's tough, but a lot of things are hard.

One of the best beat downs I’ve ever witnessed. When Brownie got the lawnmower started, there was no stopping him. Top 5 fighter of all time for me.

Watched Brown as a junior when I lived in Stoon. Would agree that DB was one of the best.

And then there was

Kelly Chase
Tony Twist
Wendel Clark
Joe Kocur
Kevin Kaminski
Wade Belak
Darcy Hordichuk
Don Saleski

I know they’re an original WHL club, but I wondering there has ever been a franchise with more fighters all time, than this? Maybe Punch McLean’s New West Bruins clubs in the 70s?

Probably New Westminster Bruins, Flin Flon Bombers and Victoria Cougars (Patty Ginnell).

This was my sister's first WHL game, Saskatoon and Victoria:

With all the great things Patty Ginnell Brought to the Victoria Cougars came the bad too.
The teams brawling and dirty tactics became known throughout the league and in the year that followed their great success of 1974-75 would leave a scar on the City and their Cougars.
Losing key players like Bridgman, Lapointe, Cairns, Morris, Roberts, and Lucas. Some to the draft others overage or University. The Cats struggled to rekindle the success they had found the year before.

Things started badly early in the 1975-76 season. Archie Henderson was suspended and up for assault charges after a sucker punch. Another incident in Victoria then-Mayor Peter Pollen Left his seat after witnessing a brawl to confront and tongue-lash Ginnell.
But the worst incident that gained national attention was the notorious “Frighty Night Fight” as it was known in Saskatoon. A brutal game which lead to a vicious brawl and three Saskatoon Blades players sent to the hospital one with a serious eye injury. The mayhem had gone so far that some of the Cougars players were up for Assault charges. Patty Ginnell had death threats and would resign within days of the incident.
Somewhere out there is CBC news film footage of the brutal fight including three Cougars ganging up on the blades lone goalie. Ginnell would return to end the season after a suspension and players charges were dropped. Henderson’s Charges were also dropped. The Cougars left a bad taste in the mouths of many. This would be the beginning of the end for Patty and Victoria. He would coach one more season before selling the team and moving on. There were some highlight players of that year – Jim Gustafson, Jeff McDill, Curt Fraser, Al Hill, Greg Andersen, Dennis Fenske, and Goalie Murray Bannerman.

This is a pretty good read of some Dub history: The WHL, Part 2: Changes of scenery, battles on and off the ice and, uhh, a toupee . . .

Old. Time. Hockey.

He trashes the Oil every year. We must have stolen a whole whack of his lunch money and shoved his head in the shitter a bunch of times over his career.

Subban is a dipshit wanna be influencer. I hate these Subban, Whitney, Bissonnette barstool idiot types. Say and do anything for attention. Jump on the bandwagon when it suits them. We live in the dumbest timeline when f***s like these have any cultural significance.
