Some posters don’t seem to be aware that he’s tied for 5th in scoring among forwards.
Not sure what they expect from a 3rd/4th liner.
2-3M will be standard 4th line money if it isn't already. The problem was that he had a good start and hasn't been able to contribute as the year has gone on.
Since January 1st he has 2 goals and 5 assists for 7 points in 37 games. That's a .19 P/G rate which is equal to 15.5 points over an 82 game schedule.
Even if he is good defensively, he's not worth the contract he's going to get. Someone will look at his overall numbers and give him 2-3M.
The context is him re-signing at $1m. If that's the scenario, you take the bad with the good, because the alternative probably gives you bad with more bad.He had a nice little unsustainable stretch where he put up 10 points in 9 games earlier in the year. He has 7 points in his last 37 games since Jan 1. A lack of production in our bottom six is one of the reasons why this team is having its worst season in years. He’s also gotten ample opportunity in the top 6 this year and has almost never been utilized on our 4th line. Oh and he’s also getting outscored when he played in our bottom 6.
And Nucks have said they will make another offerKravtsov is Canucks property.
lol there might be a player there, but I suspect it's more likely a forward or defenseman.Matthew Davis!!!![]()
Unlike if this was Calgary, I'd argue it's too muchWe have 37M or 42% of cap currently injured. Ugh.
Wonder who we would burn a year on?
That's kind of what i was thinking as well. there's rumors of interest in Dalton Bancroft but that's a guy you wouldn't exactly burn a year for. TJ Hughes was one guy that came to mind last night and another was Quinn Hudson who still has the frozen four to play out on Thursday and Possibly Saturday with a win.Who's out there thats worthy of playing in the show? IIRC you don't burn a year playing out the stretch in Bako. We're so injured right now that we could use a warm body. Bako is on the outside looking in at the AHL playoffs, albeit with a couple games in hand, but potentially could avoid the minors and immediately become a black ace. A guy like TJ Hughes should look at our prospect pool and see opportunity.

If he can go, Kane that is, there's literally no reason not to try.In other news i was wondering if we should LTIR Draisaitl for the rest of the season and bring Kane into the lineup to knock the rust off.
Is there still time to LTIR? Two weeks or 10 games correct? I’m not sure how that works at the end of the year.In other news i was wondering if we should LTIR Draisaitl for the rest of the season and bring Kane into the lineup to knock the rust off.
Minimum contract is still under a million though. The Oilers should not be paying fourth liners 2-3 million right now.2-3M will be standard 4th line money if it isn't already.

I'd probably LTIR Ekholm first unless Drai really needs the full time off.In other news i was wondering if we should LTIR Draisaitl for the rest of the season and bring Kane into the lineup to knock the rust off.
Yes i guess its 24 days AND 10 games so likely cant roll with it at the end of the year.Is there still time to LTIR? Two weeks or 10 games correct? I’m not sure how that works at the end of the year.
We can't unfortunately. To qualify for LTIR relief means the player being out for minimum 10 games and 24 days.In other news i was wondering if we should LTIR Draisaitl for the rest of the season and bring Kane into the lineup to knock the rust off.

Regardless id still keep Leon out until the Playoffs.
