Honestly it's not an awful forward group. Kind of puts our team together a little bit.
 
So the one thing I'm hoping is that we add a depth 4C because if we don't I would assume either Janmark plays 4C or we call up Ryan

If we don't add a 4c I no joke think D. Ryan gets called up lol

Test run a competent franchise before committing for the biggest deal in hockey.

Again, I don't think it's likely, but it wouldn't surprise me. This team has grossly mismanaged it's assets his entire tenure. Eventually he will have enough of that if we don't turn things around.

He literally went to game 7 of the Stanley cup finals last season. Just ridiculous.

Third line would beat the puck square. Watching how Arvidsson manages the puck makes me lose hair, and Kane isn't far behind even at his best. I think they just have to find a way to make Arvidsson go away somehow. Can't play in the top 6, falls over too much and too risky with the puck for the bottom.

I think this is the way to go conceptually, but there are a ton of different ways to swing it depending on Kane, etc that are impossible to forecast.

Especially if that 4 c and winger with Drai are decent.

And then the team proceeded to give away a bunch of productive players, including some of the young talent that was critical in helping us get there only to bring in 30+ year olds who can barely get by.

And it took McDavid having an all time playoffs to get there. Close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades.

Sure maybe he decides to let them know he’s not resigning in the summer but a mid season trade request before a playoff run is ridiculous.

I'm not saying Pickard is a great goalie but on any given night I would take him (marginally) over Skinner. He's a lot cheaper next season too. Anyway, my post was partly in jest. It won't happen.

Instead of being purposely obtuse, you could address what the poster was really asking: “how you do you know it’s McDavid that asked for the trade”
