That's, not ideal.
I think a full goaltending change is order, time to swap them out and I'm serious. I love sincerely love nothing more that the Oilers winning with Stu, the story is amazing, but this needs to change.
Trade Stu for Gibson (however that works out) and trade Pickard for someone different (I think if, the Flames would be game) Pickard for Vladar(50%) would be a nice thing to try.

We should honestly clean house and get rid of Schwartz as well (probably slim chance of happening)
I don’t think he would straight up say they are looking for a goalie but the fact that he gave a straight up “no” and not the standard “most likely not but we are always looking to improve”.
This org basically does whatever Dusty tells them about goaltending and has since he got here. Skinner and Pickard are going to be our duo going into the playoffs. Mostly because Dusty wants to make sure the goalies are going down on their knees immediately when the puck enters the zone and a few weeks isn’t enough time for that.

Yeah, it's the obvious move and they should make it, but worrying about Gibson having a decline is valid, even if it's not more valid than just hoping the failing goaltending fixes itself.
I'd rather go for Gibson than ride out this current swiss cheese sieve duo that we've had the whole season.

Some people talk about Gibson like he's 37. He's only 32 he still has some good years ahead of him. He's certainly not old, not for a goalie anyway.

Yes, but they also talk about him playing 50+ games a year for over a decade, he's only 32, but there are alot of miles, don't be fooled by that.
Again, I'm on board with him, I just understand the concern.

Tbh, I honestly Dgaf if Gibson is only good for one year and shits the rest if we just win the cup this year. It’s now or never.

Realistically, who are the moveable pieces on the team? Arvi (4mil) and Rico (3mil) for sure. Highly unlikely but maybe Kane (5mil) and Kulak (2.75mil). S.Skinner (2.6mil) is only moveable if the team is getting a different goalie.

I think Arvidsson makes the most sense. Assuming Kane comes back in the playoffs, he can slot into that role.
Really need a 2nd pairing D and an upgrade in net.
If Kane comes back before the end of the season, the Oilers will have a big issue adding at the TDL though, no two ways about it.
In generally, feeling a lot worse about this year's team vs. last year's at the same point in time of the season. Still lots of time to get their act together.
Could the team in theory waive Kap, Klingberg (thought they jumped the gun signing him) and maybe Janmark? It would free up 2-4mil also.
Don't really think there's a market for them this year.
