Chicago fans have been telling me that he sucks this year. That would be a brutal trade target IMO.Mrazek is just as bad if not worse than our current duo, f***ing puke.

Might just mean that he's cocky?Zegras might be the softest, easiest player to play against in the NHL. What are you thinking with this comparison?
Probably shouldn't have given out a lengthy contract to a known problem in Kane either. He was at his best when his future was uncertain. If this is true then Kane is likely putting himself before the team and we are basically f***ed because we gave out NMC's to Skinner and Arvidsson.
Washington also had interest in him and they have more than enough cap for him. That would be a scary team to play against. The Oilers were basically Kane’s last chance. I hope what’s being reported isn’t true or is exaggerated. If he in fact has also now alienated the Oilers organization / team then that’s probably it for him.
Do they still have interest after a whole season off and yet another alienated locker room?Washington also had interest in him and they have more than enough cap for him. That would be a scary team to play against.
It might be working out better if they stapled Skinner to either McDavid or Draisaitl and let them develop some chemistry. Sure, he has some warts, but at least he scores some damn goals when given the chance to play with good players. What "top six forward" is available for dirt cheap? We are paying Arvidsson and Jeff Skinner 7 million dollars to be "top six forwards", how's that working out?
And two major surgeries?Do they still have interest after a whole season off and yet another alienated locker room?
Knight would be obviously out of the question but I'd at least take a look at Soderblom.Chicago fans have been telling me that he sucks this year. That would be a brutal trade target IMO.
According to Elliott F, Kane and the Oilers are certainly at odds over his return. This won't end well.
I don't think they ever accrued all that much.
Isn’t even 500K accrued something like 1.5M of space at the deadline?Klingberg.
Mrazek was good last year, this year he is shit.NHL Goalie Advanced Stats 2024-2025
Mrazek 2nd last in the bottom of the worse goalies with only Grubauer being the worst.
At this point, I'd rather have Ty fricken Conklin suit up if our best option is fricken Mrazek. f*** off with that suggestion, Frank.
we apparently only have like 3.8 mill in deadline space because of how Klingbergs contract was done. The moment we go into LtIR his contract value is full. We pretty much HAVE to move money out or in or move Kane.Isn’t even 500K accrued something like 1.5M of space at the deadline?
I probably don’t understand this cap shit properly.
Chicago fans have been telling me that he sucks this year. That would be a brutal trade target IMO.
From this morningUgh, is this a new comment from Friedman? Or same as from the weekend on HNIC?
The only forwards that we can move out are Brown, Janmark, Perry, Kapanen and Podkolzin. The problem is that most of them are on cheap contracts. I would consider moving out 2 of Brown, Kapanen and Janmark for more toughness but we would need to see what other players could do in PK roles. Would've been nice to see Savoie get some PK time because he could be a SH threat as well.With/if Kane is to come back in the reg season and we just found out today that not only J Skinner has a NMC but so does Rico and Arv! What stupid management. No flexibility, we can do a small add unless things change and that's our deadline. Stuck with old slow non producing players.
They better start playing and do so in the playoffs too! This is pretty much our roster, like it or not.
Nah, they’re going into the playoffs with Pickard as the starter. So our management is confident enough to go into the playoffs with Skinner as our starter? If someone did request a trade, I hope it was McDavid. What a dumb organization
Well f***. Who would we have to clear out to get him back without going over the cap? A healthy Kane > Brown, Janmark, Kapanen and Podkolzin combined.
Teams know what they are getting with him. If they wanted him after his San Jose debacle, they probably would still take him. He is better than mangiapane and they have alot of LTIR space. I could see the Oilers just sending him for considerations if Kane refuses to LTIRDo they still have interest after a whole season off and yet another alienated locker room?
We would have to clear I believe just over a mill in cap right nowWell f***. Who would we have to clear out to get him back without going over the cap? A healthy Kane > Brown, Janmark, Kapanen and Podkolzin combined.
I really think people overestimate his impact when he's been hampered by injuries and time off the ice. Players of his archetype don't tend to have long careers. If the Kane rumors are true and we need to trade him away as our big move at the deadline, we are royally f***ed beyond measure. Nobody else on this team hits people.
The asking price for Gibson will drop closer to the deadline considering we’re the only team that would be going after him.I've doing a complete reversal after begging the oilers to go out and get a goalie. The problem is that we have no cap space now and the market sucks.
The asking price for Gibson is apparently really high.
Binnington and the blues are 1 point out of a playoff spot.
Vejmelka is Utah's starter and 2 points out of a playoff spot.
I mean I read this as Kane thinks he’s going to be able to play this season and the medical team thinks different. This means we aren’t getting healthy Kane.Well f***. Who would we have to clear out to get him back without going over the cap? A healthy Kane > Brown, Janmark, Kapanen and Podkolzin combined.
