Stauffer may have just linked Arvidsson to Detroit. Said the Red Wings are interesting, looking to move on from Tarasenko, mumbled something about someone McLellan is more familiar with.

Todd McLellan had him with the Kings, no?

Was at the end of the Friedman hit.

What? That’s not Brown at all. His puck pressure consists of skating as fast as he can all over the ice with his stick in the air. He doesn’t hit or engage other than skate fast. He does not interrupt zone exits. He’s got 8 career playoff goals- of which 5 came this year. He isnt going to out preform his contract. You can easily find these types of players
Yep. Controller disconnected. He's a busy player skating circles and seems like lots are fans of that. He's literally a no impact player, excuse pun. 3 of the playoff goals are ENG. I'm not supposed to mention that lol. "Playoff Brown". "The Legend"

We found better waiver wire players.

I was trying figure out who it was... But I think you nailed it. For Who? Talbot?

I can’t see us winning that bidding war. I think he gets over 7. Not sure how we can come up with that.
If he can bring whatever 20% shooting magic the Canucks had with him, I pay 7M to Boeser for sure :)

Sadly, he would probably end up a 15-20 goal scorer here.

Either way I think if a deal for Demko was going to happen it would have happened. The fact it didn’t makes that option less likely moving forward in my opinion.
I agree with this. I like Demko more than Gibson personally, and he'd be my preference of the 2... but the fact that he wasn't included in the trade today makes me think he wont be their guy.

What do you guys think the chances are Crosby moves?

At 38 it's probably the last chance for him to be a playoffs contributor. He looked pissed after the pens sold last year, and was visibly reinvigorated after the 4 nations.

That would be spicy.

Is he implying an Arvidsson for Tarasenko swap or are they just taking Arvidsson straight up? Hopefully it's the latter.

I'm hoping for a clean $4M cap dump. The best I could expect is a 5th and Patrick Kane's negotiating rights.

Friedman was saying Detroit's looking for goaltending. Send them Skinner to insulate their Edmonton goaltending coven (Cossa, Gylander)?

I heard it once over the radio, but it sounded like two separate trains of thought. They are looking to move Tarasenko; they may want someone McLellan knows.

You want/have to assume two separate thoughts, as the purpose of an Arvidsson move is to dump cap, and Tarasenko is $4.5M full paper.

What is it with the Oilers being tied to Vancouver’s infirmary ward? Demko, now Boeser? I’d rather have guys who play more than 25 games in a season.
Agreed but I also hope that when the smoke clears on the Bouchard, Perry, Brown, Kapanen, Klingberg situations/deals that there is about $5M left for a goaltender deal. Either a tandem strategy or possibly a Skinner trade but definitely not the status quo.

Sure, a goal scorer like Boeser would be welcome but you can't do it without quality goaltending. Its the no.1 priority. Every off-season some interesting new wingers come into the dressing room but the main problem remains unresolved.

I’d rather have Swayman out of the three. I think he bounces back. Never really understood the Saros hype. I liked him more when he made $5m though.

Would love to see them take a chance on Reichel.

I do think Pageau is on their list
I would rather keep Skinner than take on Swayman without retention..
I would take Korpisalo over Swayman

Arvidsson should be easy to move. Might be a good candidate for a bounce back year as well on a different club.

Also, I’m quite surprised that Henrique hasn’t been dealt back to Anaheim as I thought that was a foregone conclusion.
