Lol this is some massive self-delusion & corporate/front office bootlicking. Good god man.

Young, improving power forward with skates and hands coming off a good postseason in which your franchise apparently thought enough of him to trust him on Drai's wing? Nah, evidently not worth $2 mil a year.

I suppose the Oilers "deserved" to sign him for half of what the Blues correctly identified as a magnificent contract for the player. Much better for them throw money at aging, slow, old vets.

Enjoy going into the playoffs next year with waiver wire pickups, career bottom 6ers, and fringe NHLers with stone hands playing on scoring lines with our franchise centers. Again and again and again. Have fun trying to beat Florida.

We have incompetent management.
Yes Holloway was worth just under 2 with his resume. The Blues paid him just under 3 and it worked out for them. But if you think he was guaranteed to explode the way he did last year you are delusional. Paying unproven guys with a good 30 games is how you end up with contracts like Yammo and Puju got. It bit the Oilers in the ass on this one but history told us it wasn’t guaranteed. Dylan could have singed a one year deal and made even more this year but instead he listened to Broberg and his agent.

Probably Henrique. You can easily fill in the bottom of the roster with 9M. Appleton, Beauvellier (sp), Olaufson, Gaudette, Saad. All could be had for good deals. Knob also needs to move to pairs vs trios. Ie McDavid-Hyman, Nuge-Drai, etc and then fill the gaps.

Yeah but the problem is we need to add to the top of the roster.

So that's one Kane out the door, what are the odds another potentially gets signed?

Though imo Giroux makes a ton of sense, especially if/when they move on from Arvidsson. He's getting up there in age, but 61.5%(!!!) on the dot, as skilled and cerebral as McDavid, RHS, and can still play both speciality teams.

Frederic-McDaivd-Giroux
RNH-Drai-Hyman
Podz-Henrique-Savoie
Kostin-Philp-Janmark

I absolutely love the idea of him in RNH's spot on the PP

Hyman-Drai-McDaivd
Giroux-Bouchard

Giroux's probably staying in Ottawa. IMO the prime target should be Mikael Granlund.

Is Patty Kane a UFA? Probably stay with Detroit or maybe join Toews in Winnipeg but for the right price would be an excellent addition to the top 6:

Holloway was 2,29

I don't think they're seriously considering moving Henrique. The team clearly sees value in him and Frederic as the core a 'shut down' third line.

I wouldn't be that shocked if Kulak is moved though. He is somewhat extra and should have some value around the league.
I'd rather move old man Ekholm. We can't afford another injury

Henrique may be moved, but i doubt it? I guess it's either one of our LHD or Rico gone with Arvy already gone

He's like many players. Put him in a competitive environment and spirited location and he'll elevate. its almost cruel seeing a player play on a team that can't win in a market that can't win. Theres nobody to play for and nobody to please. Not all personalities are fit for that. Thats some speculation though. Other reports are Kostin took the fighting aspect a little too seriously, spent time honing that and became less of a player.
I mean I guess if he is 1mill or under it’s fine.
