I disagree. HFOil would be celebrating if we maxed out value in a trade with Calgary. I don’t think anyone here cares about who the Oilers trade with as long as they win the dealIt's funny because you guys would be having a conniption if the Oilers traded a legit NHL player to Calgary at the deadline.
I wonder what we'd have to offer to Arizona to get Bjugstad back? Foegele + 3rd?
We would have to take him on at full cap. He can’t be retained to the same team in a calendar year. Still not sure why but that’s the dealI wonder what we'd have to offer to Arizona to get Bjugstad back? Foegele + 3rd?
Yup. He is stopping us from having a much larger chance at a cup. Frustrating for sureArguably the most impactful position on the team… and he’s unplayable.
And he comes with a 5 million dollar cap hit for 3 more years.
Yes. Epic negative value.

I'm not as convinced he's finished in the NHL, and I think you retained some salary something would pop up. I think it's at least worth trying. If not, buy him out in the summer, but I would much rather make a play right now if it allowed them to add someone else for the playoffs.Arguably the most impactful position on the team… and he’s unplayable.

Crosby as wellI'd swing Parayko at all costs now. It's an ARMS race now in our Conference. They need an upgrade on Ceci bad, especially now after Vegas circumventing the cap and bending everyone over.
Seravalli did say it in an article earlierI thought I saw it earlier, I wonder if it was just that Uber driver guy making things up again, Apologies.
Don't worry Cyc, we can quit now.
Nah, it was after that, I thought I read it in this thread, but see my post to Tony.
They still have a means of doing it, it will just take some work, but it's probably easier to not.
He will be bought out this off-season for a 4M cap savings next year. For now he is injury insurance for playoffs. It is what it is.Arguably the most impactful position on the team… and he’s unplayable.

Holland’s tenure here, if the Oilers don’t win a cup, will be a failure. Wasted the prime of the best hockey player to come around since MarioSorry the moves Holland made today is not a “Cup or bust” move

Market growth in the southern states trumps all else.My hate for Vegas is growing stronger and stronger. I hope they miss the playoffs, I’d feel so good seeing that.
They’re going to lose this bullshit loophole eventually.. too many Cup champs being way over the cap. It’ll stop if the wrong team does it, NHL is happy to see this continue for now.
Nothing of value out of Bob tonight. Mentioned Megna, Edmunson and Josh Brown as #7D options lol
16 goal pace in the regular season and 3 goals in the playoffs. He isn't a world beater but he is a solid NHL depth player.Bjugstad was very underwhelming here. He’s exactly where he should be, 2nd line C on a bottom feeder. He’s not a good 3C and not good enough of a 2C on a contender.
Bryan, you like him because he's tall. He was underwhelming, the Oiler can and did do better.16 goal pace in the regular season and 3 goals in the playoffs. He isn't a world beater but he is a solid NHL depth player.
