I disagree. HFOil would be celebrating if we maxed out value in a trade with Calgary. I don’t think anyone here cares about who the Oilers trade with as long as they win the deal

Yup. He is stopping us from having a much larger chance at a cup. Frustrating for sure

I'm not as convinced he's finished in the NHL, and I think you retained some salary something would pop up. I think it's at least worth trying. If not, buy him out in the summer, but I would much rather make a play right now if it allowed them to add someone else for the playoffs.
 
Bjugstad was very underwhelming here. He’s exactly where he should be, 2nd line C on a bottom feeder. He’s not a good 3C and not good enough of a 2C on a contender.

Nah, it was after that, I thought I read it in this thread, but see my post to Tony.

They still have a means of doing it, it will just take some work, but it's probably easier to not.

He will be bought out this off-season for a 4M cap savings next year. For now he is injury insurance for playoffs. It is what it is.
 
My hate for Vegas is growing stronger and stronger. I hope they miss the playoffs, I’d feel so good seeing that.

They’re going to lose this bullshit loophole eventually.. too many Cup champs being way over the cap. It’ll stop if the wrong team does it, NHL is happy to see this continue for now.

16 goal pace in the regular season and 3 goals in the playoffs. He isn't a world beater but he is a solid NHL depth player.
