NAHL is the equivalent of Junior B in Canada, expansion is odd given they are going to lose guys to the USHL (roster spots will open up now that players can play in the CHL and still be eligible to play in the NCAA)

To say it's the equivalent of Junior B in Canada is not accurate. The average NAHL team has more NCAA commits than the average team in any Canadian Junior A league except for the BCHL.

It's a tier below the USHL, which is the equivalent of Junior A in Canada. Therefore it's the equivalent of Junior B in terms of tiers.

Of course it's going to have more NCAA commits given it's located in the United States., where players are more likely to play college hockey than major junior.
