Fun fact.

If he makes the NHL he will be only the 2nd "deaf" player in history to make it.

Seems like the perfect flyer then since he'd definitely play through the whistle

Makes him a good gamble in the 5th rd, body, check, skills, check, skating, uh oh.
Worth a lottery pick to see if a skating coach can improve him to close to average.
If so, he's got middle six potential.

Definitely someone to watch in college this season.

Don’t like the move either but with the new rules I would assume he is just repositioning to go elsewhere either next year or play as an overager and go to another school the following year. Kinda thought he would have had a better showing at Ohio State though.

I havent watched a ton of NCAA this year mainly just CHL and NAHL, but Powell’s stats don’t look very good
