Looks like we are going to keep drafting goalies until we get one that can play. Going by the old adage, if you throw enough poo against the wall, eventually some of it has to stick.
Yugra used to be a KHL team, now playing in VHL. Mamonty (Mammoths) are their MHL affiliate
Or you could just trade a pick for a goalie when you need oneLooks like we are going to keep drafting goalies until we get one that can play. Going by the old adage, if you throw enough poo against the wall, eventually some of it has to stick.
Next year before the new contractFeels like Hart is gone.
Technically, similar to how NHL compares to AHLMammoths are noble animals
How does VHL compare quality-wise to the KHL? Since that's where I assume he'll be.
Feels like Hart is gone.
I agree, no reason to suspect Hart is gone because they drafted 2 goalies. Unless... one of them is an 18 year old version of peak Vasilevsky (which I guarantee they're not)He might be, but this is no indication of it. Goalies are usually 3+ years away from the NHL, wouldn't help us much now.
This team needs to collect some more picks for next year and not even think of a goalie until Round 5 at the earliest.Again, I don't know if he's good or not (some good indicators at least) but after the Bonk pick, using two top 100 picks on goalies feels like leaving some meat on the bone.
Didn't they take multiple goalies in rounds 2-3 one year when Hexy was here? One was Sandstrom, the other guy I don't remember and don't feel like looking up but it was some guy that didn't pan out

And Hill was of 5 goalies Vegas used this year. They took Sandstrom and Tomek
Anthony Cirelli and Adin Hill went right after Sandstrom.
Nicolas Roy went 6 picks after Tomek.
Right? We just watched Adin Hill and Darcy Kuemper win the last 2 Cups.
We've drafted some good goalie talents in recent years. Maybe we have good goalie scouts. I'm not a fan of drafting many goalies either though. Their trade value usually isn't great because not all of them can play at the same time.Or you could just trade a pick for a goalie when you need one
Back at you, HC.I love you, Bern.
makes me wonder about their development once the Flyers get them. We've drafted some good goalie talents in recent years. Maybe we have good goalie scouts. I'm not a fan of drafting many goalies either though. Their trade value usually isn't great because not all of them can play at the same time.
The Flyers have a great development program for goalies by playing awful defense at all levels.makes me wonder about their development once the Flyers get them.
