Prospect Info: Round 2, Whos left.

If Sweeney is going off the board, he might as well take Ethan Bear. at least his last name is synonymous with a bruin. I'm really serious about this pick. LOL!

so what do ratings mean? Do you still consider them second round players?

Zetterberg was like a 6th rounder for god sake

Let these kids play before we judge this as a failure......Hamill was a top 10 selection

And getting a Zetterberg like talent in the 6th round happens what once every 10 - 12 years.

This is judge as a failure because their were clearly much better players left on the board. Those players are better now, and likely will be in the future. Two guys who likely would of been sure-fire Top 10 picks in any other draft were sitting there and the Bruins said "nah" we want "bruin-type" players and took reaches on both.

So everyone has been going on that this team needs an idenity. So now they draft to the idenity they want to be and **** all over it for it.

How many high end Jr players that looked like sure-fire picks end up doing nothing, and then you have other players taken later end up being the much better NHL player. Everyone needs to relax and see how these draft picks work out. As we have seen so many times before players with elite talent at Jr don't always work out.

A lot of posters have been crying about this team's need for identity.

I haven't been one of them.

I am sorry but "team identity" is one of the most over-rated and cliched terms in all sports. What does it even mean? Does that mean they need the majority of a certain player type? Character is important but so is talent and skill. You can ice a roster of the hardest working, toughest, never-say-die players, but if all those players have the talent level of 3rd/4th liners they aren't beating anybody.

Chris Kelly might be one of the hardest working players I've ever seen. Guy gives it his all every shift, true character guy. But if 9 of your 12 forwards are Chris Kelly's, even Chris Kelly's in their prime then your not winning anything in today's NHL.

Boston better not draft a C in round 2 cos if they do it makes not taking Barzal even more incredibly stupid, after Strome hes easily the best C.

I want to see a big bodied Dman and a fast big bodied winger with nasty. Ferland should have been in that Dougie trade if Looch was being dealt. We are going to be bullied like *****es next season.

Roy (D)
Sprong (W)
Harkins (C)
Kylington (D)
Ahl (W)
Gagne (W)
Lindgren (D)
Meloche (D)
Roy (C)
Spencer (D)

Hoping the Bs get 2 of the above.

Regardless of how good they become...it was the wrong pick(s). You honestly think it was worth taking those guys well before they were predicted on going when you have studs like Barzal and Conner on the board. Maybe it will work out but you can't expect fans to be calm and not be pissed about it when we traded two franchise players for the right to draft "reach" players.

you don't draft based on someone elses rankings.that would be dumb. I guess not many here follow the patriots. Maybe they wiffed, maybe not..no way of telling at this point

I think if Kylington is there at #37, then you take him, simply because the talent is too overwhelming. He has #1 defensman talent, and you don't see the chance to grab that at #37 too often.

Hoping for Sprong, would somewhat replace the true talented prospect we miss with Barzal and Connor ... Like Dunn, Roy, Novak and Kovaks.

Maybe I should settle for Harkins, Meloche, Carlo, Bruins type player.

All the talk about keeping or not Julien and the "we want more offense" ...

Second round? I care more about the 7th round! with the way Sweeney is reaching I am excited at the prospect I might get drafted!

I'm actually looking at lists of draft-eligible baseball and football players. After the third round that's where Sweeney is going to pull from IMO.

Listening to the talk on the tube Barzal is not a very offensive player. Shensyn has way more speed and is a big player. Better prospect overall. Smart move by Boston. Bruin fans on here wanted Lucic gone. The way they described him they got all the could for his talent. Hamilton, Sweeney got beat on that deal. Should have gotten more. When you are painted into a corner by the cap its the only way out.

You might get drafted in the 2nd. Hell, he might start drafting our pets. With the 48th selection overall the Bruins take Duke the Golden Retriever.

If the Bruins use all 3 I'd like to see at least 2 of these guys drafted. Would really like to see Roy there at 37 but not likely but if he's gone and Kylington is still on the board, I'd grab him and hopefully his mind catches up to his talent.

Roy
Kylington
Harkins
Meloche
Dunn
Sprong

I hope we get Kylington. Kid looks to be an amazing defenseman down the line

I agree. With all their picks they can afford to swing for the fences. Kylington, bracco, garland, greenway. If all their 2nds are going to be used, might as well take a high upside guy or two.

I was at the draft yesterday and was shocked that you guys passed on Barzal and Connor. You would have had some extremely skilled top 10 talent. They would have been a steal even at 13, 14.
