Maybe he got in his own head about being drafted and wanted to prove to the Flyers they made a good pick by trying to do way too much out there today?

Wouldn’t be the first time a prospect did that. Won’t be the last either.

Or a simpler explanation, he's an 18 year old kid playing in an adult league, he's gonna have his ups and downs his first SHL season.
Just being a starter in the SHL at 18 is a pretty solid endorsement.

I'm sure that's what it was. No worries, we can always bench/ruin/trade him in less than a decade.

He had a good game today.

Weird though. Played 6 mins in 1st period, 2 minutes in 2nd period and then 5 minutes in 3rd period.

2nd and 3rd pairing mix to start. Then #7 in 2nd. Before going back to a mix of 2nd and 3rd pairing. He played with 3 different partners at 5v5 over the game.

Had a couple of shots that did not really trouble goalie, but helped set up 3 nice chances in the 3rd. Probably "deserved" an assist.

Had one bad play in 3rd where turned puck over trying to go no-look cross ice in own zone to Arell. Should have just broke out himself.

But overall a nice game.

Haha.

I still say "for helvede" like 20x a day at everything and anything.

Hey Appleyard, what is going on with HV71. They are 1-6 to start the season. In relegation playoff position.

Also, that is an awesome team name. I think Seattle should have named themselves SV21. The V is to honor HV71.

Haha. They has had some poor luck partially.

They have been outshooting other teams and goals not going, and had bad netminding.

Gunnarsson is at .874 sv%... and he is their starter. Alnefelt at .840 sv%.

Some of that has been mistakes on D. But not all of it.

HV71 is short for Huskvarna Vätterstad (two teams that merged) and the year it was founded.
