GDT: Round 2 Game 3

This should be interesting. Canes have won 34 of 44 games at home this year. We are great on the road. Don’t love a 6pm start time.

I wouldn’t say we dominated game 2, but we definitely controlled it. I’m sure Canes will be making some adjustments that the Caps will need to counter. Just keep playing hungry and relentless!

Normally, the Caps extremely mild and passive media is a good thing, but we should know who skated with the scratches this morning by now, and it hasn't been reported.

so glad they got to experience montreal's crowd in the first round, that'll help moving forward on the road. move your f***ing feet boys, finish your checks, score more than them and last but not least:

I saw Nicky and Alzner last night at the Nats game last night in the Diamond Club. I resisted the temptation to talk to Karl and tell him yeah that was me that approached you at Kettler 17 years ago asking about playing right vs left side. For the record he said offside is harder of course. I talked to Nick's friend who was really short and almost asked if he was Stanky Keith Acton. Turns out it was Backie's son's hockey coach.

Pro is not 100% yet. Ovi seems off probably injured since he wasn't firing one timers last name. D seems a hot mess just trying to survive shifts. We can't get a line consistently providing offense. The series may come down to Willy and Logan carrying the team.

Agree on Pro and Ovie. Disagree on the D--at least team D. They were stout for much of game 2. Not having Fever is a big loss, but they can manage.

Fair point but a lot of that stout D was blocked shots which resulted from them running and chasing for a large portion of both games. I just seem to remember panicked sloppy clears and passing when they we finally did get the puck. But they are not alone, the forwards in our D zone weren't much better.

Kudos for holding down the fort vs a strong opponent regardless of any complaints I have. I know, after wins we shouldn't complain. Playoff wins are not easy.

That's accurate for game 1. Game 2... maybe for 6 minutes out of the 60.
I thought what I saw included game 2 into the 2nd period but I trust you and not my eyes that have witnessed probably 10K periods of caps hock in my illustrious spectating career.

It wouldn't surprise me to see us get shelled tonight. That's how hockey goes - momentum changes hard and fast and we have it... headed into enemy territory of drunk caners. The predictable thing about playoff hockey is that its not predictable. My favorite goal in hockey is the early first period goal on the road to shut the crowd up and suck all the energy out of the area instantly. Have no fear, I am still all on the moneyline +200 and an early Caps goal.
