Oh so if the whole team contributes then we might win? Crazy how playoff hockey works. That’s what the good teams do. Let’s see who’s better.i think panthers just outmatch us, especially with how matthews and marner have been
we will need them to actually show up on even strength to score every game, not just be content with playing defence against the likes of amadio and pinto
stolarz needs to wake the f*** up, he was horrendous down the stretch of the series. Mcmann might as well have been in the press box, laughton was alright but choked his chances. Patches scored but wasn't that great all arond.
if the defence holds, stolarz or woll play well, the core 4 continue to produce, and we get some contributions from the bottom 6 then we might be able to win the series
I guess so looolOh so if the whole team contributes then we might win? Crazy how playoff hockey works. That’s what the good teams do. Let’s see who’s better.
As long as the Leafs come in with the mindset that Marchand, Bennet and Tkachuk should be equally targeted on every puck battle by the Leafs. We don't have alot of bruisers but Knies, McMann, Lorentz, Patches, Tanev, McCabe, Benoit, OEL, Carlo.... we have some beef and some pushback in the DNA for a change... I don't think their dirty crap can play as much, if we stay disciplined and hit every shift. We can do this. This is going to be a war folks
Marner, Matthews and Nylander are going to be targeted by Marchand, Bennett and Tkachuk more than they ever have in their lives.
They will either rise to the occasion or fold. The real playoffs starts now
Not necessarily all at once. Some games the goaltender will steal one that the forwards don’t show up in. Some games the forwards will put up 6 similar to game 1. But when it gets tight and it really matters, like a game 7. I think this coach, the depth and the will of these players including the core 4 will finally pull through. I’ve never seen Matthews with such purpose in the last 10 years than I have this series. He’s dialed in and he gives a shit. I’m sure all those guys would run through a wall for him. So let’s sit back, and have some faith in the lads for once. GLGI guess so loool
I just think it's easier said than done though, Idk how feasable it is to ask for goaltending, defence, starpower, and depth scoring all at once
Florida in 5.What are we marking now? The Leafs aren't going to lose games 1 and 2.
They will put in Woll, once they go down 0 to 2. Marchand will have a field day.Woll is better than Stolarz? And McCabe is better than Tanev? Heck no. Definitely disagree with both points.
Never seen it happen, but would have to assume it would be Willy's goal. Dunno if there'd be any assists.Off topic a bit but I was looking at the Nylander empty net goal.... He's skating in basically alone and gets dragged down. The ref put his hand up... Willy managed to compose and backhand it in. But with the refs hand up and nobody else between him and the empty net, it would have been an automatic goal as it would normally be a penalty shot but with the net empty it's an automatic goal. Just not sure who would have got the credit for it, I guess Willy?

I think it will be the other way around.Florida in 5.
I think it will be the other way around.
I think we will see the Leafs style of play frustrate Florida. It will be a series of close games, but I think the Leafs will win the first two games in Toronto, win an OT game in Florida, and then end the series in game 5. I think Florida will produce very little offense in this series. It won't be like playing Tampa... while anything is possible in hockey, what is your objective theory on how that happens?

Media really needs to magnify Hagel's comments on Ekblad. I doubt they will, but a little extra scrutiny will help.
What did he say?
Sportsnet just confirmed, Game 1 is Monday 8pm. EIGHT PM!
