This is what I'm saying. I mean sure it's fun to want sweeps against eachother. ButI hope we can someday be up there with the NY, Alberta, Ontario and Pennsylvania rivalries that have history in hatred (i mean that with love)

We have a long way to go. This is why a 7 game series would be cool. A kind of series we can talk about for years.

It's interesting. Very one-sided until well last two years. I hated TBL so much in '21 and '22.

We're the interesting divisional rivalry where both teams won a couple of years of each other...only Pens and Caps have done that.

With this in mind, turnover on the Lightning have removed some of the hate: I really despised Patrick Maroon and respected but despised Stamkos. This series will turn things around I think with the hatred

Reality is, I dont hate Tampa unless we are playing them. And no, I wont room for them, but they do look good and dangerous when humming. And I actually like Vasy way more than cry baby Shesterkin lmao.

You can't appreciate our Cup without being appreciative of they swept the f*** out of us. It's Tampa's fault we became a threat.

There are teams I hate way more than Tampa.

Teams like Vegas, the Rags, and all Canadian teams except maybe the Flames. I cannot stand the f***ing Carolina Hurricanes.

Agree about Calgary, always have disliked the Canadian teams except for them. Also have to add Pittsburgh to the can’t stand teams.

How many of you are OG? I was a teen in the mid 90s, my favorite Lightning players as a kid were Puppa (I played and was an aspiring goalie) Zamuner and Hamrlik, not in order.

I remember the 96 Panthers and their incredible run. I actually think we wore out the Flyers that year for you guys . But Vanbiesbrouck was incredible that year. Jovocop was one of the best nicknames.

This is where I'm also gonna say I miss Fox coverage of the NHL.

I had a Puppa card (I dont remember if it was a rookie card) but I used to protect at all cost. It wasn't even the fact it was a rookie but such a cool card of him. But as a goalie myself growing up...you know what they say, we are weird!

How on earth can you despise Stamkos and now find it difficult to hate Tampa when Nikita Kucherov exists?

NHL games was the way I learned all the Panthers players and realized how bad our rosters were in the early 2000's lol.

Hopefully Chuck is able to be back for game 1. That would be massive. Down he and Ek, we could go down 0-1 real easily.

I'm not expecting them to win the first two games of the series due to this the Panthers' tendency to wait for the most opportune circumstances. As an example, they could've closed out the SC victory earlier but instead they dragged it into game7 when the pressure was really on. Expecting to see them score some goals but also lots of "whoopsies", blind passes to opponents sticks, wishful thinking, etc. that'll cost them the first two games and the fans losing hope early in the campaign.

I could see Chuk on the ice for game 1. Don't think he'll be getting 17+ minutes unless he shows no discomfort/gassed. IE see him take a shift break in the 2nd or 3rd depending on the score.

Just need to do what they did last year and frustrate Kuch in the neutral zone. Make him distracted/frustrated early and often.
