He broke out this year after some very underwhelming seasons. A healthy Protas will be a handfulAm I understanding these guys also have a 6’6” 250lb guy than can play incoming???? wtf How do I remember nothing about Protas?

Really? This is awesome!
I agree but Fowler does not have an NHL deal so it cannot be him. If there is a call up it has to be Primeau
He’s about as physical as Armia, uses his size similarlyHe scored against Habs at Bell Centre during caps last visit during the season.
Protas is huge but not at all physical.
630 pm start?
This here on nhl.com seems to say he’s a probable start tomorrow

Habs have a “their best 6’7 275lb forward” incoming to counteract, right?
maybe, but peak Halak was special enough that we still talk about it years laterHalak never became a real starter, most fans just massively overrated what his trade value was. Eller was probably the Caps most consistent player in their cup win. Eller has easily had the better career.
haha, thank you for thisHow is that the bare minimum lol, folks around here are ridiculous and unrealistic
You're calling for a literal overhaul of the roster by asking for a 2C (reasonable), and then a 2LW and 2RW to replace Newhook and Laine and then a 1RD. And then you say that's the BARE minimum lmao.
Ive seen people on this site not too long ago offering Dach + Mailloux + a first pick for Robert Thomas lmfaohaha, thank you for this
"trade Dach" like he even has any value at this point is what got me.
Something I get from this playoffs.
1. I understand why management drafted Reinbacher over Michkov. Big horse defenseman.
We can’t win with too many smaller players. We need like 5 more Josh Andersons.
The year we went to the finals>
Weber 6’4”
Edmundson 6’5”
Chiarot 6’4”
Petry 6’3”
Merrill 6’4”
Kulak 6’3”
Anderson 6’3”
Perrry 6’3”
Armia 6’4”
Staal 6’4”
In the finals last year, Oilers dmen averaged over an inch more on average in height than the Panthers' D corps. That's quite a difference.
Ekholm 6'5
Nurse 6'4
Broberg 6'4
Ceci 6'3
Bouchard 6'3
Kulak 6'2
6'3½
Mikkola 6'6
Ekblad 6'4
Ekman-Larsson 6'2
Forsling 6'1
Kulikov 6'1
Montour 6'0
6'2⅓
Look how that turned out?
You mean, they didn’t get him to watch videos so he could play like Brady Tkachuk?Protas is huge but not at all physical.
Protas is an oddity. 30 goals at ES, 0 on the PP. 66pts, 1 assist on the PP. He’s breaking records. Litterally players having seasons a bit close to that (with 0-1 PP pts) are bizarre cases, like one guy getting 14 PK points playing with Bobby Orr or Jim Peplinski from the 80s. This just doesn’t happen. He broke out this year after some very underwhelming seasons. A healthy Protas will be a handful

In 2021 I think the smallest D we had was like 6ft3.
Maybe you should relax when reading instead of making delirious half-assed conclusions, you should re-read, because the RD and Newhook were categorized under GRAVY. Didn't think i'd need to take you by the hand and have to explain what is under the heading 'gravy' should not be considered part of the bare minimum.
The only big ask in the minimum was a 2C. The rest are all very do-able. That includes trading Laine and Dach, re-signing Dvo and re-signing Hutson to 8 years. Nothing else. Nothing to write home about.
Get a grip.
I never saw this clip before lmao
